MGM Is Like The New Cannon!

Because of MGM, Bond 23 and The Hobbit have been delayed. And both lost the directors that were attached. Is it me or is anyone else reminded of Cannon? Cannon was a notorious studio in the `80s that specialized in crappy Chuck Norrris movies, but fanboys remember them for something else. Because of Cannon the Superman franchise was killed with the release of Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, a franchise with Spider-Man was delayed for like 15 years, and He-Man never got the franchise he deserved because of Masters of the Universe starring Dolph Lundgren. Plus, under a different name, they released Captain America, a flick that most people would rather forget exists. So, if we're lucky, WB will finally buy MGM and save us anymore nightmares.

Call me a drama queen, but in light of what's happened to The Hobbit, I will be boycotting MGM's films from here on out (assuming the damn thing is actually still an independent studio by the year's end). I don't expect this to accomplish anything, obviously, but I can't bring myself to give them another single cent.

I am absolutely livid.

WB's offer has been ignored. As of now MGM's creditors own the company. The best thing for MGM right now and for the creditors is, to sell off MGM piece by piece because as a whole, they aint gonna make back squat.

One of MGM's movies, The Zookeeper starring Kevin James and Rosario Dawson, was picked up by Paramount and the release date was moved from October 2010 to next summer.

They need to get Bond and Hobbit sold to someone else so they can finally move forward on these movies. I can't believe Del Toro had to leave the Hobbit because of this stupidity.
