Miami Vice

Nah, b/c honestly.....I think the film could have used atleast one more shootout, or some other action scene, just to be sure. I liked the film as is, but.....another shoot out would have been good.

Espeically when I hear it's better than the one in Heat. Now, I must see it.

Yeah, it is. But....really.....don't all films do that with the DVD's? It's sort of one of the marketing angles for any DVD, making it seem "extreme" or something....ya know?

Yes, almost all dvds have a unrated version.

Once again, the overseas versions are awesome while the US isn't:

For the sake of conversation, does anyone else have the soundtrack? It's pretty fan****ingtastic. Even the stuff I don't typically like is constantly playing in my iTunes (Pennies in my Pocket).

Yea I got it when the movie came out. its pretty good but some of the tracks that was in the movie werent on the soundtrack like the Jay Z/Linking park song.

Yeah, I loved the ST. I think it might be the best one I've heard in a very long time. Really good tracks.

Auto Rock. Wow. Just....****ing wow. Love that song.

I'm you guys though....namely, Jay-Z/Linkin Park's mash up track should have been on it. And Audioslave was another one that needed to be on it.

Still though....fantastic Soundtrack.

I'm wondering......and, this is kinda out there considering that MIAMI VICE is actually making pretty damn good money. But, does anyone think that it would have made more money if it had been PG-13?

I mean, an R-rated film is kinda at a disadvantage in the BO b/c the teenagers can't get in.....and that's alot of dough right there.

I agree, PG-13 is always better for a movie at the box office, but I wouldn't say it would've helped MV all that much. This film didn't strike me as one that appealed to the teenage crowd, and any teens who really wanted to see the film could've easily gotten in, whether purchasing their tickets online (where you don't have to show ID), or simply because most places don't even check IDs.

But eh, I could be wrong.

I dunno....I think there could have been a teenage crowd there to attract. I think the teaser trailer alone could have appealed to alot of teenagers b/c of the cool music all on it's lonesome.

But, really.....I don't think I could have seen this film as a PG-13. Just would have been different, b/c really....the cursing and the violence does seem to be properly set at that R- rating.

Then there's the sex too....which kinda was hot anyways. Practically a softcore porno when you think about it.

Why is it that the US always seems to get screwed over like that? I mean, the packaging alone is like 10 times better already....

Anyone hear about the fire that burned up a couple of the cars from the movie?

From what I hear, the Fearri and the Mojo cig boat wasn't in the warehouse.

This might be something interesting. Colin Farrell showed up at the Beijing Premiere with Gong Li. Supposedly, he was not obligated to be there at all....show he was there on his own dime. He was holding hands with Gong Li......the entire time. So, I guess that's something that caught eyes.

I kinda suspected it though....if you've seen the behind the scenes video I posted a while back about Farrell and Li learning to dance.....they did seem rather....comfortable.
