He killed on his own?! I dont care what good he has done since than! The guy needs to be smoked! This is the first time watching Shield for an entire season that I did not once root for Vick!!! Especially when Vick made Forrest Whitaker ex wife come(***) twice???!!!

Vic is one of the best characters in the history of television. He isn't evil or bad, but in his own mind simply doing that which is necessary to get rid of the scum off the street. EVERYTHING he's ever done, no matter if you consider it good or bad, is for crime fighting.

He sounds like Frank Castle to me. Frank has done more than questionable stuff during his visit to 'nam too......but, this character sounds like Castle. In a good way too.

I saw they were beginning to give the show on CW....but I'd heard that it was edited, since it was on basic cable now. Anyone know for sure? I'm thinking if I want to catch up, I'll have to get the dvd's.

Definitely get the DVDs. Having a marathon is better than waiting week after week to get to the next episode. And he is a bit like Castle. One of my favorite moments, I can't remember which episode but they track down this serial rapist and a dog gets the guy in a shed I think. When you see it if you remember this post you'll know what I was talking about, it was awesome. I was grinning from ear to ear.

But also the question is raised, at what point does Vic become as bad as the scum he is getting off the street?

Thats what I love about the shield. It is so...grey shaded.

I'm getting into these hardcore crime drama genre stuff. It's so gritty, and really interesting. Especially when the cops are sometimes as dark as the bad guys. I mean, even in VICE.....Tubbs does pop that kid....atleast, I thought it was teenage kid....

Obviously, it's not 100%....considering if you like the source or not. But, still it's something.

It seems they will add the Boat chase and the enitre Neptunes subplot.

Dont you guys understand that the sublot is about 45 to an hours woth of footage. It's not just one or two scenes that can be thrown on a dvd, face it mann messed up and we will probably never see the footage.

From what I've heard, the subplot is not up to 45 minutes......there were just things cut out that were longer. Like a shootout in the middle of the movie in D.R., but......rumor is the Neptunes plot might be in there.

Then again, only 7 minutes? I don't even think the boat chase, which is supposedly added in, is that long.

I dunno......this smells like a double dip to me. I can smell that Special Edition Director's Cut coming like 7 months from now.

Jeez, where's the final artwork for the dvd? I want to see how bad it is (90% of dvd covers nowadays are bad and you know it), so then we could start making custom ones that are better.

The DVD will hit in Decemeber....so, we've still got a ways to go before anything is actually confirmed.

I'm working on a custom dvd cover with the teaser poster that's coming along pretty well so far. I think I won't be done with it for a while though. Which is fine, since the movie is still a month and a half away.
