There's nothing wrong with innovation but it's naive to think that black actors should be happy to be cast only in roles as brand new created superheros instead of the established one's the white actors will get. That is a huge disadvantage as an actor to be in.
I agree with the other poster that more effort should be put into selling the already established black superheros.
Regardless I don't see a huge issue with a black actor playing an originally white superhero where race isn't a huge part of that character.
Frankly I'm not sure why Jason Mamoa's casting as Aquaman is being seen as great and innovative but Michael B. Jordan has been bashed since the beginning?
Jason Mamoa has blatantly stated how he's happy they've changed their Aquaman from a blond white guy to a brown skinned polynesian. I mean if MBJ said anything similar this board would probably call for his head?

Why is it such an issue in this case? Because they changed a white character to a black character?
