Punisher War Zone is awesome. Its all exploding heads.
Id like to see a new director. Im willing to risk some of the action for a better story and less sexual jokes
how much did you enjoy the incredible hulk last year
I hope alot because the general audience found it to be a bit of a dud.
a bayless TF would surely be just as big a dud, the concept isn't anything special
imo
Bay should get praise where deserved and let me just note that the main battle sequences in ROTF (Shanghai, Forrest, and Jet Prime vs Fallen) were fantastically choreographed especially the forrest fight.
Not all directors would be able to execute this. McG had giant robots in Terminator: Salvation yet that didn't excite a single bone in my body.
I want Bay to finish his trilogy. With a better script Bay can make a final "Transformers" film thats on par with first or even better. I truly believe the writers strike crippled the screenplay for ROTF heavily.
No offense to Bay's writing but he contributed some his ideas and even wrote some of the plot points. Orci and Kurtzman also didn't do to great either with the exception of setting up the battle sequences to an extent.
I think they reviewed the wrong movie. They just don't understand the movie and its audience. It's silly fun. I am convinced that [critics] are born with the anti-fun gene. The reviews are just so vicious. A lot of them are more personal than anything else.
I honestly can't see anyone else doing the kind of action scenes that he does. I still don't know how he can pull of all of that. The action is insane.
Maybe he could direct only the action scenes, leaving the development of the story for some talented director.
I don't think the problem is the story, it's the direction.or maybe he can direct a script that has a well developed story for a change
that would be just as good
I say keep Bay!UPDATE:
So, Michael Bay recently said he'll return for the 3rd installment. But since TF2 brought the level of crappiness below my expectation, let's boycott this p.o.s. and say to Michale Bay:
"F**k away!"
I don't think the problem is the story, it's the direction.
most every review attacks the thin plot and lack of story
even the audience that loved the movie would probably agree that the story is weak
as for his direction(action and laughs) layer that on a good story and it's win win.
I think it's interesting that he's becoming a house hold name
I honestly think the average audience member would be for the idea of a michael bay superman
(i know better tho)
I know. I'm talking about the story on the paper. I don't doubt that it is good. But when directed to the big screen...not anymore.most every review attacks the thin plot and lack of story
