The Dark Knight Michael Jai White Cast in TDK

Damn how many gangs will there be in this movie???!!! 5??? You got the black gang with Gamble. The Italians with Sal Maroni. The Joker gang, Scarecrow gang, Chechnyan gang, and the Azn gang???!!! Damn this movie going to be ill!!! One thing I notice about the plot, that its alot similar to what happen in Hurrican Katrina! They was this huge disaster that nearly wiped out the police force and the gangs pretty much took over!!! They had to bring in the national guard just like in TDK!

I'm starting to think The Joker doesn't have a gang. He's a loner that's the one man equivalent to all the other gangs put together. The bank robbery scene is probably him double-crossing the guys that double-crossed him in the past.

And what's the Azn Gang? Do you mean the Asian Gang? Because I think that one asian guy who was cast is just playing an accountant or something.

He also played Mike Tyson in that HBO movie about the boxer, which wasn't bad at all by the way. I actualy enjoyed it and I thought he did a good job in that role.

I just thought of something....When you picture this film, does anyone else get the thought of a certain film called "The Warriors"? I do.

If this film really makes a BIG deal out of all the gangs trying to take over Gotham, and gives them all good screen time...this film is going to be amazing.

Cool with me. He's a fairly decent actor, but has had to take on some roles and movies that are...not too good, to pay the bills.

Jeez. There seem to be way too many characters and gangs in this film. If this was a three hour epic movie, maybe I could understand. I trust Nolan and his work, but I do't know how he's going to do it. Three gangs max seem like enough to do damage. Not sure about five. Remember that Anthony Michael Hall is in this too. Another bad guy?

Spawn was embarrasing to watch. The HBO animated version was a great rendition of the comic.

I really don't get the Banner hate here. I guarantee that not a single person here has seen him act, and it even says in the article that he gave a great audition. Just because you don't like rap artists, or some famous people have set bad precendent by crossing over from music to film and vice versa, it doesn't mean that certain people can't.

Banner has already been applauded for hi work in Black Snake Moan, and would never have even been considered if he couldn't act in the first place.

And if you hated either Banner, or White, please keep in mind its a small, bit part. Just because you don't trust Banner's talent, or Saw White fail in a movie's lead role, doesn't mean that they can't manage a small, likely 4 minute or less movie role (keep in mind that Nolan managed to make Scarecrow have the presence he did with less than 10 minutes of screen time).

Anyone getting their panties in a bunch over a bit role needs a little help.

Entirely true, I just think its ignorant of people to label him as a bad actor because of another career he's made a living in.

Michael Jai White hasn't been in really good films, but he is a good martial artist and plays a really good bad guy. And I'm probably one of the few who actually liked the "Spawn" movie. I thought Michael kicked ass as Al Simmons, it was John Leguizamo's over-the-top freakshow-Clown that ruined the movie for me.

And it's better than casting David Banner or Ja Rule or Mike Jones or some other rapper.
