Keaton was shooting another movie in Chicago at the time, that article is from April.

Keaton has stated several times that his only feeling towards any Batman movie after his was nothing but a total lack of caring...so I really doubt he'd do it.

what? i thought he said he liked bale. dont see why he couldnt do a cameo.

Yeah. He does like Bale & thought he was a great actor.

And I think Nolan made it clear he doesn't want any previous actors in the first 4 films to make cameo in the new one. I think that a good thing thought. They want to seperate their them from those, even with not using the actors for just cameos too.

I still maintain that if WB does a live action Batman Beyond, Keaton should play the elderly Bats.

Hey while were at it, WB should exume Lewis Wilson's corpse and have Heath Ledger not mention it at all right in the middle of a scene.

Not gonna happen and this old news....

Won't happen, Nolan has stated several times that his films are in NO WAY related to the previous four.

i just found it a few days ago and didnt see a topic so thought i'd mention it.

Sorry man, wasn't bashing, it's a good find and worth the effort, i'll never turn into one of 'those' hypesters who bash anyone and everyone for even contemplating thinking about starting a thread...

i would rather have adam west in a cameo.

I'd love to see it happen, and I really don't see what it could hurt.

If they were giving Keaton a major part in the movie, then I could understand some complaints, but if it's just a small cameo I don't see any harm.

Adam West should have a cameo! He was the TV Batman, so thats less distracting. Its also the right thing to do. Lou Ferrigno always appears in the HULK films. Why shouldn't Adam be in a scene?

I think the reason they won't do it is because cameo's are seen as 'fun' and sort of un-serious, whereas Nolan's work is about as serious as you can get.

Like, put Spider-Man (with all of Stan Lee's cameo's) up against Batman, see the difference in tone, material and target audience?

It wouldn't sit right in the film.

I dislike the idea of Nolan ignoring history. It's disrespectful to the hard work that came before to just be conveniently swept aside. Besides if Joker's going to be slaughtering everyone left and right this movie needs something to alleviate the tension. It's not a horror movie, it's a comic book movie.

He's not ignoring history, I don't see how Keaton or West popping up would be appropriate in these films...

Maybe in like a crowd scene, but if they do a Stan Lee it'd suck.

Burton didn't have any cameo's, apart from the drawing.

Just ouldn't work in the Nolan-Verse.

That's why there should be no cameo of him. I loved Keaton's Batman...really, equally if not more than Bale. But this is a new franchise, keep old stuff apart to avoid confusion... and there would be too much drastic reactions from the fans

Burtonites : YEAH!!! KEATON YEAH!!! COOL!!!!
Nolanites : NO!!!! KEATON NO!!!!! STUPID!!!!!

This was a simplified model, but you get the picture :) :hoboj:

I like the model.

It'll just give the freakin' Burtonites another excuse to flame the Nolan films.

'Oh Nolan's films were so crappy he had to get the star of Burton's films in to make them good. Now lets all go and watch Batman Returns because it's so symbolic.'

Wow. All three of the Burtonites here who flame the Nolan films really bother you that much? Nothing like stereotyping to show you have a complete and intentional lack of understanding in regards to a specific group of fans whose opinions are just as valid as yours.

Is this Marvel or Sam Raimi? No. It's WB and Chris Nolan. Get that crap out of here! :woot:

Cameos like that come across very cheesy to me.

I couldn't care less about cameos now that I think about it. I just don't like the mentality of "We're the only people to ever make Bat-films everyone else was an imitator". This probably isn't the right thread for this.
