The Dark Knight Rises Alon Aboutboul as...........

Judging by the image provided in the story, he has a decent Hugo Strange look. I can definitely picture him playing the character plus it would make sense.

His wife confirmed ? That's def. interesting.

Dr. Poison?

Dr. Destiny?

The plot thickens...somewhat.

Glover was also the voice of The Riddler in BTAS.

As for this casting, I'm guessing this mad scientist is involved in the production of Bane's venom.

Interesting... I'm thinking that this could be one of those scenarios where it sounds like it could be Hugo Strange, but ends up being another "made up" character. Either way, very cool news. Here's hoping for Dr. Strange. :word:

I think he'll be Doctor Death, and is somehow involved with the venom

I remember him on body of lies playing the main villian as a Islamic terrorist...its ironic he's actually jewish lol

I immediately wrote this rumor off as nonsense. Guess I was wrong.

I don't know why people are still clinging to the idea of hugo strange.

But the origin of venom aspect would be amazing.

That's unexpected. I doubt he'll be playing Hugo Strange. My mind also went to John Glover's role in Batman & Robin, but I wasn't particularly expect venom to play such a part with Bane, and, well, I don't want this to remind me of that movie in any way.

Mmmmm maybe hes young Ra's version of Scarecrow making the early compounds or something

If it is Doctor Death then he could be who Oldman was referring to when he mentioned a villain from the old old comics.

While his character's identity is not known at this point, Alon Aboutboul is said to be one of the sequel's main villains, playing a "particularly evil mad scientist".

Is the bolded part speculation on their part?

Anyway, I look forward to this being confirmed or debunked. If he is, in fact, a main villain, then that has "Hugo Strange" written all over it.

Gotta say, it would be a cool little nod. Even if the role is as small as Zsasz's in Begins, that was still a really nice touch.

Pretty skeptical he will be a "main villain" but verrrry interesting.
