Yea but it searches through the whole hard drive for anomalies and destroys them don't it? Wouldn't it find this virus?

Whenever my comp is going slow I do a search and destroy and it works fine again.

This virus is making news & is even being talked about on TV. I guess people are getting ready. I know I got all of my important stuff backed up & saved

Well they are saying that countries with high numbers of pirated Microsoft OSes like India/Russia/China will get nailed with this a lot more than western countries so I guess we'll just have to see come tomorrow.

I just ran the scan, and it says it's clean. Actually had to do twice because I missed it the first time it closed itself off so fast.

It should of had a "this message will self destruct in 10 seconds" message lol

No, that program is only for spyware and such. If you have viruses on your computer, it will NOT detect them.

Yeah. The worm isn't going to run only on April 1st. It becomes active tomorrow and will run from that point on. And even if it doesn't do anything tomorrow, at any point in the future, the writers could change it to become malicious.

Right now, the only guaranteed way to avoid Cornflicker is to not use a Windows machine. Makes me glad I just got Linux working on my external drive.
