minor role for gwen stacy?

she's not in the new trailer. unless i missed it. even eddie brock is in the trailer. why not? does this mean her role in the movie has been reduced, or that it's not going to be much of a role in the first place? mj is featured throughout the trailer, even though peter and her are supposedly on the rocks for a big chunk of the movie. just curious. i might have missed something in the other posts about the trailer, if so, sorry, this just jumped out at me.

and the second is when she's with spidey and they both look at something off towards the right side of the screen.

I'd have just developed Chocolate Cake girl more since she was already introduced. Or give betty brant more than a second of screen time. Poor Elizabeth Banks.

Since she seems to serve only as a distraction for bad-spidey from MJ, it would have been better if she'd been a full on seductive hotty.. a.k.a, possible Black Cat figure. I get the feeling they're going to make Gwen a nice, likeable character and quite similar to MJ..

She will be a minor character. She'll have some screentime but she is there mostly to screw with Peter's head and to push Eddie's buttons. MJ is still very much the main female lead. Gwen's role will be about the size of Harry in SM1 I figure.

I still think there should have been Felicia Hardy aka Black Cat instead of this "Gwen Stacy" since I suppose the only thing that movie and comic gwen have in common is blonde hair. Unless shes gonna be Peters first love and ends up being killed by Norman Osborn...
If her only purpose is to distract Peter and be the cause of conflict between him and Mj I say they should have gone for Black Cat instead. she is sexy as well and unlike Gwen she has super powers. It would be quite natural if "bad Spidey" would be drawn to his uber hot co-crimefighter
But who knows maybe Raimi s gonna surprise us.

She was in the leaked trailer a few more times. One that looks like she is at a funeral. She is wearing black with a black umbrella.

I think she has a past with Brock. So this could mean that Brock does die (or atleast is presumed dead) either that or captain stacy bites it. Unless Gwen becomes good enough friends with peter to attend Harry's funeral since as of yet he is the only death that is pretty much confirmed.

Presonally I would've prefered to of had Felicia Hardy / The Black Cat in spidey 3 .

Can't really say that I would have preferred Felcia in this film considering it may be something of a minor role, but if the film ends with the possibility of a 3rd sequel, and an expanded role for Gwen, it's all good as far as I am concerned.
