Interesting it’s the first 3D film in the series.

Cool poster, the chopper sequence is clearly the big one for this entry in the franchise.

Holy crap!

Whats the difference between the two films, visually?

Based on that sneak peak it looks brighter, I thought RN's color grading was kinda ugly and dark aside from the chase scene.

If this ends up being good, it would be a hell of a trilogy.

I would consider this the second if you wanna go as far as call it a trilogy.

Both Isla and Hunley were introduced in the previous film.

Also, this last sneak peek is really awesome! Love the aesthetic as mentioned above.

And I agree that RN visually looked a bit filtered down. GP was much brighter and had stronger visual presence.

Any word on why Patton did not come back?
Good question. Haven't seen her in a while. I was about to say she completely fell off but I completely forgot she was just in Warcraft

Any word of why Maggie Q didn't come back either?

If Cavill didn't really grow his facial hair for this film and it had been about him having trouble keeping a fake one on, this movie could've been called "Moustache Impossible: Fallout" :o

I'm very excited to see what they do with that helicopter chase.

Dark Raven, all the stuff about the mustache is starting to trigger me for some reason ;)

One of the few franchises where my interest has grown rather than deteriorated over the course of a series.

Well it only really got better from about 3 onwards. And 4 was where it properly hit its stride.

I can't guarantee if this will make a difference, but the Cinematographer for Rogue Nation was Roger Ellswit and the Cinematographer for Fallout is Rob Hardy.

I have only seen 1,2, and 3, yet to see 4(GP) or 5(RN), quite why they felt they had to re-title them from numerical to give them a worded mission, not sure, but a friend gave me the 1-5 box set for my birthday so going to watch 4-5 over the weekend and get up to speed.

Of the 3 I've seen, 1 and 3 are awesome, 2 so-so.

The reason 2 doesn't quite work is because it's more derived from James Bond than the Mission franchise.

3 is the one that started the continuity between the films. So for me it's 3-6.

3 is where they actually started following the Mission Impossible team formula instead of trying to turn it into something else.

3-4-5 is one of the best series of films I can think of. All three are awesome for me. 2 is easily the worst of all but at the same time it is still pretty enjoyable, which means the franchise as a whole is on a great level of quality.

3's got the best villain, hands down. But I'd probably put both of the last two above it overall.
