Eat a pizza from Little Caesar's without grimacing in pain or disgust.

Yeah, Ethan Hunt isn't James Bond. And when they kind of tried to make him so (in MI:II), it didn't really work out well. Plus he's still married.

Christopher McQuarrie eyeing return for 'Mission: Impossible 6' (EXCLUSIVE) http://bit.ly/1I0gt06

Following the massive success of “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation,” Paramount and Skydance are hoping to stay in business with writer-director Christopher McQuarrie. According to sources close to the situation.

McQuarrie will return to write “Mission: Impossible 6,” as well as possibly direct the next installment.

The studio and reps for McQuarrie have declined to comment, but several sources with knowledge of the situation say talks are progressing towards a deal being closed, with one insider saying that the studio plans to get production up and running by next August.

Tom Cruise is set to star with the studio also holding an option for Rebecca Ferguson to reprise her “Rogue Nation” role of Ilsa Faust. Cruise is currently filming “Jack Reacher: Never Go Back” in New Orleans. Following the success of “Rogue Nation,” Paramount made it clear they wanted to move fast to get the next installment of the popular “M:I” franchise into production sometime next year.
If McQuarrie’s deal closes, it would mark a major milestone for the franchise, which has never had a director helm more than one installment.

I've enjoyed the formula of getting a new rising action director each time and giving them the chance to let loose with a big budget, but if there's gonna be an exception to that formula, I'd be perfectly happy with it being Chris McQuarrie. Rogue Nation's my fave.

And YES to Ilsa returning. I mean, it seemed obvious that was part of the plan, but given this franchise's history with female characters, ya never know. Now bring back Paula Patton and Maggie Q!

Either bring back Luther or Benji but that's it. I want Isla, Jane, and Zhen to return.

As long as Ilsa comes back, that's the most important one for me.

I'm glad at the very least, McQuarrie will be writing again. Because there are very few writers in Hollywood I'd trust to write Isla as well the 2nd time around.

Well they pretty clearly set it up for Alec Baldwin to be the official secretary of the IMF now, so that seems unlikely.

Cruise has great projects. Jack Reacher 2 and MI: 6 = quality entertainment.

I'm wondering if Cruise is still pressing McQuarrie to write a treatment for Edge of Tomorrow 2...

That lunar heist movie sounds also very interesting... I love me a heist movie.. and its in space !! :D

Rewatched this movie recently and I still love it and its probably my favorite action movie of the year, although I still have a problem with the third act and the score.

MI4 is still my favorite overall.

I'm fine with breaking tradition to bring McQuarrie back, so long as it means a Rebecca Ferguson will return as well.

Tom must REALLY like working with McQuarrie (not that I blame him mind you). And yes, Rebecca Ferguson returning is a must for me (especially if they bring back Rhames, Pegg, and Renner again as well).

McQuarrie is awesome, hope he directs as well he is a damn good director and writer and I look forward to any movie he is involved in. Would be a nice surprise if Ilsa returned as well.

Tom Cruise in Talks to Star in ‘The Mummy’ Reboot (EXCLUSIVE)
Justin Kroll said:
Cruise is currently filming “Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.” Cruise was eyeing a reunion with Doug Liman on the space adventure “Luna Park,” but with Liman directing “Gambit” in the spring, Cruise’s schedule had an opening before he jumped into prep for “Mission: Impossible 6,” which shoots next August.

Tom Cruise Unravels ‘Mummy’ Reboot Chatter
Jeremy Gerard said:
Speculation that Tom Cruise and Universal Pictures might be wrapping up a deal on the studio’s reboot of The Mummy has been making the rounds this week as the studio continues to plot a return to the monster business. Both Universal and the star’s people tell Deadline adamantly that no deal with Cruise is in the works for the film. He is filming Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, and Mission: Impossible 6 begins shooting in August.
