I honestly don't want her in another franchise. I want to see her in more diverse roles and just return to the MI movies now and then.

Oh, she's going to get plenty of opportunities between now and....uh....2018. Fear not.

In fact, she's already wrapped on one movie and is in the middle of another shoot.

Not gonna lie, Ferguson was more Catwoman like than Anne Hathaway in TDKR... and I saw that as Anne's future husband.

Rebecca Ferguson was :hmr: and Ilsa wasnt afraid to kick off her shoes and kick some ass.:D I hope Ilsa is in MI6.

This was so, so, so good. It wasn't Fury Road or Inside Out, but it is fantastic. I don't know if it is better then GP, but I like it as much. I am ashamed to have ever doubted Miss Ferguson. She killed it, in more ways then one.

[BLACKOUT]After the tease at the end, she better be back[/BLACKOUT].

I don't know if it's just the Swedish thing but Rebecca Ferguson really reminded me of Ingrid Bergman appearance-wise. At certain angles at least. The Casablanca sequence made it even more uncanny to me.

I mean, with all the Casablanca references, it's hard not to think McQuarrie had that in mind when casting her. Helps that she's also awesome, of course. But yeah, I definitely saw a resemblance there, too.

That I agree with and it seems to me that Hoffman was the best of the bunch, though to be honest I don't quite remember much of Dougray Scott's character in MI2. I think after Hoffman it might be Voight (though I haven't seen it in a long time) and then Sean Harris.

As for ranking the movies:

MI3
Ghost Protocol
Rogue Nation
MI
MI2
Dougray Scott's character's main grievance was that he hated being Ethan's double in the IMF because he always had to put on his stupid grin. Only thing he really seemed to be after was a big payday in stock options. It was a pretty shallow story arc that was only made up for by the John Woo action scenes.

All Solomon Lane was after was funds for his operation. Which seemed weird if you think about it because his organization seemed pretty well stocked in whatever they needed.

Think about it. His organization was able to stage hidden terrorist acts across the globe that incited revolution and chaos. And they continued staying as ghosts from all the major defense and intelligence organizations except MI6. They were all veritable ghosts.

The evil rich never have enough money. They always want more.

Well they were obviously a resourceful group, so I just figured they had plenty of short-term money solutions, but Lane just wanted to secure a long-term one.

I loved the end of this film,[BLACKOUT][BLACKOUT] the way London was shot at night looked very much like the start of MI1 in Prague. Might have been a coincidence.[/BLACKOUT][/BLACKOUT]

I don't think that is a coincidence. It looked rather intentional and I loved it.

It was the first thing that sprung to mind when I saw it, it made the whole thing feel like an old fashioned spy thriller, was a nice touch.

This movie was quite a ride. :) Not sure how much I liked it compared to MI1, MI3 or GP, but it's definitely on par with them.

This movie was fun.

Not that it really matters at all now but I feel the first deserves a lot more than it got but is probably because so few have reviewed it it doesnt look much better than the second.
