The Dark Knight mobile trailer

Audio certainly is a 100 times better in that fixed version! Good work!!!:)

^ Me too... I also love how his voice suddently pitches in higher tones when delivering a line. One specific is the "batman must take off his mask, and turn him self in".... The way he says it is priceless!!!

actually i have noticed quite a few new things here and there, specially in the last trailer the part where bruce is talkin to rachel, " You once told me we'd be together"

the melody in the background is new , is not part of begins, and is not the End credits, it sounds similar thou, anyway im loving it.. cant wait to get the 2CD pack

that part is literally the only new audio ive heard since begins (apart from prologue)

has any other movie recycled so much audio on their trailers from the prequel film?! outrageous!

^ I agree... we've heard very little from the new soundtrack!.... I can't believe that they haven't used the Joker-theme in any of the tv-spots or even let Us hear some of the new music, instead of just using music from begins.

exactly. In december when the first trailer was out i could forgive the fact that the old score was used as it was obvious they were still working on the new score.. but now? come on.. the mobile trailer which appeared just a few days ago STILL uses begins music! we're 6 weeks from opening day and the OST cd is out in less than a month! No one can tell me the score is still being done, sure they may be putting finishing touches to bits and pieces but they could have played more than they have done in the trailers.

Dont get me wrong, i love the begins music, its just i wanna hear what we have in store in TDK!

on a side note, if you listen to the prologue at the part where the joker takes off his mask and gives the stranger line, you can definetly make out a 2 tone theme playing in the background! its been long rumoured that the jokers theme is based on 2 tones..

I cant believe some of you are expecting an entirely new score for this film. I think the music for Batman Begins is already established, and will no doubt be used in this film. Okay so the jokers got a theme of his own. The films a bit more extreme in some ways and will certainly have a lot more going on and im sure there will be music to reflect that.
But theres no reason for them to put out an entirely new score for the film. Sure they may tweak it here and there but theres no way there putting out a new soundtrack full of new music.

in a recent interview zimmer said that the new score used a little bit of the bb music, (the major themes and such) but everything else was new and much more complex than the music from bb. "I think that Chris has made a much more complex movie, and a much more dense movie, and in many ways a better movie than the first one, and the music reflects that"

I'd say our expectations are right where they need to be.

i havnt been on this thread lately and i want to know is there a new clear version of this video out yet?

Slicendice, is right, in regards to what you said. I understand your logic, but your wrong in this case. Even within the first 5 minutes of the movie you hear music that is completly different from Begins...

Are you kidding! lol of course theres going to be a new score! im sure some stand out pieces from Begins will be present (and expanded) but there is going to be new music. Are you expecting the OST to consist of the begins tracks with the jokers theme added on the end? lol

What the hell is wrong with you?????? First off, what are you doing on the Superhero Hype Boards if you don't read the front page of Superherohype.com, or at least glance at headlines????

http://www.superherohype.com/news/batmannews.php?id=7273

Just read that, 4 different versions/packages of 1 entirely new score!!!!!

Also, name me one movie sequel that hasn't put out an entirely new score for each of the sequel films????
Movie scores are much more complex than you think. The score underlies and enhances the emotions and tone of the scene. What works in one film or scene doesn't necessarily work in another film simply because it is the sequel. Even though similar motifs are usually followed, entirely new scores are needed for each film because each film is different in its own right.

And if this doesn't convince you then maybe the people who are making it will

uh...4 different versions as in packages not literally 4 different soundtracks...

this makes no sense.

since when do movies re use soundtracks?

thats kinda odd.:hehe:

Although mainly different, the quick, electric beats are very similar to the beats in Begins, heard in several scenes such as when Bruce first enters the cave. Therefore, while the prologue does detract from BB quite significantly in terms of music, it is not completely different, as some similar elements still exist.

Is the music in the prologue the only new piece of music we have heard so far?

I'm not that sure it'll remain in the final movie.....it could have been temporary (I'm imagining we'll hear the Joker's theme in this robbery scene) !:cwink::cwink::cwink:

Funny you should say that, ive been wondering whether or not we have already! listen to the music when he takes off the mask! sounds like a 2 toned theme to me!

Well as Bruce said, "I certainly hope not!" :woot:

I mean, I don't no for you guys but even if I look really forward for the famous Joker's two notes (and the TDK score in general, actually :cwink:) I truly love the prologue music. I find it perfect for a bank robbery.

Nolan talked about Michael Mann's influence and the prologue music (well the "present prologue music" anyway :word:) sounds very much like Michael Mann's Thief and the Tangerine Dream music at the beginning of the movie.

I only saw the youtube version of the prologue so I admit that I didn't hear it in the best conditions but still I find it great.

Don't you agree? :cwink:

Maybe its just me, but at the very beginning of the mbile trailer, when Joker says "You want order...blah blah" when he says the words "You want" it sounds exactly the same as Heaths' normal voice. Nothing traumatizing but just sounds like it lol
