Moon Knight (What If...)

I actually forgot all about that guy. He would make a great Bushman.

Bushwacker and Bushman are 2 different characters.

This is Bushwacker(a Punisher foe):

Yeah, I totally mixed those two up. Editing. :oldrazz:

Nope. Punisher all the way. Both him and Jigsaw. Only recurring Punisher villains I can even think of. I wonder if Ennis will ever use them.

Speaking of enemies, I've been thinking. It seems to me that Moon Knight's rogue's gallery is one that has yet to be....hmmm, I guess "extended" and also solidified. Besides Bushman, Midnight, The Secret Empire, and Taskmaster(in a way), most of the other villains have been one-shots. He needs new villains introduced, obviously.

However, just as Daredevil got his #1 nemesis, The Kingpin, from Spider-Man(and suited DD better than Spidey), there is a certain villain out there who I think is very adequate to Moon Knight's meatier world. He is mostly a minor foe of The X-Men but he is not often used. With a slightly more sinister, and creepier makeover, I think this character could shine like never before, particularly if drawn by either David Finch or Mark Texiera. I speak of none other than.....

Arcade

......I mean this guy had his own father killed in an explossion because he cut his allowance, for crying outloud!!

Arcade would be rather interesting, I suppose. Something about him just doesn't click with Moon Knight for me though. I guess Moon Knight can share villains with The Punisher and Daredevil. Those guys do it plenty. Hell, every villain is an enemy of The Punisher.

.....for me is this; I think one of the reasons we,basically, like Moon Knight, is because he has a quality that reminds us of Batman, only with a different spin(in a Superman/Captain Marvel contrast you might say). Well, I see Arcade the same way but with The Joker. Now, I'm not suggesting we have Arcade become Moonie's main baddie, by any means. But it would be fun to occasionally(even if only once) have him have MK put in Murder World.

Besides, I think MK already has too many physical villains and one with rather more witt, brains and charisma would be a nice balance. Plus, it could be seen as a little nod to the Batman/ Joker feud.

All purely wishfull thinking, ofcourse.

My casts for the Moench era Moon Knight, and perhaps the later stuff as well:

I'm really diggin your cast, the only thing I have a tiny qualm about is ryan gosling. He just feels alittle young to be spector. I would think spector would be more of a grissly tough guy than gosling, thats just me tho

Thanks! I think that he's a bit young as well, but his intensity (esp. from the movie The Believer) would make a good Spector imho. His looks resemble that of Spector in the comics quite a bit as well, just need to buff up a little. He will probably be old enough (or too old for that matter) when a Moon Knight movie gets made lol.

Nice cast, it does resemble Doug Moench's early MK stuff. On top of that, who wouldn't want to see Tom Waits in a superhero movie :P

I am definitely digging that cast. Ryan Gosling would work pretty well but he does LOOK too young. Like he can still pass for a teenager young (much in the same way Tobey Maguire was 28 when he played the 18 year old Spider-man). We're going to need someone that looks like they've been through it all already. Someone older than most of the other superheroes out there in fact...I just have no idea who. :oldrazz:

Ryan Gosling would work, perhaps in MK's early career or even his origin days. He does look a bit young, though not really teenager young, if he were to mentor a kid like Jeff as he did in MSMK. Also I really like your choice for Stain Glass Scarlet. She's definately one of the more interesting villains out there. Bushman and Satin Glass Scarlet would be my no. 1 and 2 choices for villains in a MK movie.

In this picture Guy Pearce kinda' reminds me of Finch's bearded Spector.

See now Guy Pearce as Marc Spector I like. I can see him hanging out with guys like Daredevil and Luke Cage. Not all superheroes are super young (and by super young I mean mid-twenties, which seem to be the standard for some reason).

I thought casting someone around 30 would seems fitting for an earlier Marc Spector and here's why: He went to Sudan and became a mercenary in his early 20s presumbably (after high school), and became Moon Knight after spending a few years building Spector Corp with his mercenary fortune.

Marc Spector was portrayed as fairly young in his early stories as well, though not spidey young, he is still quite different from the Spector current ongoing. He's suppose to be in his late 30s (from the initiative issue I think), which took place a few years after Resurrection War. So I could only assume he was fairly young (late 20s, maybe 30) when he first became Moon Knight battling Midnight, Morpheus and other villains alike.

He's probably in his early 30s in Marc Spector: Moon Knight and Marvel Knights, and he'd be in his late 30s during the current run.

Gosling (28) would make a good Spector in Moench's stories I believe. He's that intensity and negative energy (so to speak) that's present in most of Marc Spector's persona, and bears a good resemblance to the character. I think Guy Pearce (40) is a good choice too, he and Gosling are kind of similar in that respect, and I can see him playing an older Marc Spector. :yay:

I see what you're saying Icelander, that sounds bout right. I would very much like to see an origin Moon Knight movie. Are people more fimilar with the older MK stuff or newer MK stuff (current)? Which story arcs would you guys want to see tackle?

Guy Pearce would be so great, but would he take on a project this commercial? He's seems to really prefer doing low-key projects.

More Moon Knight casting (yep, even Nedda):

moonknightcasting2zq6.jpg

Dr. Alraune: Donald Sutherland
Nedda: Olympia Dukakis
Jeff Wilde: Joseph Gordon-Levitt
Black Spectre: Aaron Eckhart
Morpheus: James Marsters
Midnight: Andrew Tiernan

Morpheus!! I forgot about him! Maybe it's because I tend to confuse him with Vermin.

Awesome casts overall! Morpheus would make a perfect movie villain.

It is too bad that TV series is going nowhere, would have been great with all these villains.
