I think Spector's multiple personalities (Grant, Lockley, etc), if you really dive into that aspect of the character, are easier to buy if he's white. More believable, 'realistic' (which has almost become a dirty word in the context of CBMs) that a white guy would basically be able to basically blend in anywhere, high and low class, balancing those personas, as opposed to a non-white person.
If you're not going to really dive deep into that angle of the character, probably less of an issue. Personally, I don't want to see just general madness, I really want him living out these alternate fully-fleshed personas.
However, as I think on it, what if they did something really out there?
Each civilian persona played by a different actor (think I'm Not There) and then when he's in the mask, we don't actually know which face is underneath? The Moon Knight persona thereby becoming a lead itself, not an alter-ego. Could take some creative framing, but could provide a really weird and fitting take on the property.
