Who could be cast as Moon Knight?

I think Spector's multiple personalities (Grant, Lockley, etc), if you really dive into that aspect of the character, are easier to buy if he's white. More believable, 'realistic' (which has almost become a dirty word in the context of CBMs) that a white guy would basically be able to basically blend in anywhere, high and low class, balancing those personas, as opposed to a non-white person.

If you're not going to really dive deep into that angle of the character, probably less of an issue. Personally, I don't want to see just general madness, I really want him living out these alternate fully-fleshed personas.

However, as I think on it, what if they did something really out there?

Each civilian persona played by a different actor (think I'm Not There) and then when he's in the mask, we don't actually know which face is underneath? The Moon Knight persona thereby becoming a lead itself, not an alter-ego. Could take some creative framing, but could provide a really weird and fitting take on the property.

A middle eastern actor with a good handle on accents could pass off as north-american white, latino, european, or any of the nationalities from his home turf.
I don't see how "white" is the most versatile race an actor can be...

Well...in the comics isn't he Jewish?

On a somewhat similar subject, whether it be a film or a Netflix series, I think the film Manhunter and the series Hannibal could be a very adequate model/inspiration for a Moon Knight live action project in terms of the tone and psychological aspects(both Graham and Spector are quite conflicted).
I have had similar thoughts about Hannibal and Moon Knight. Thinking about it now, I would want Bryan Fuller as the showrunner.:awesome: I think a Moon Knight show should have a little bit more humour than Hannibal though. Some very black humour, but humour nonetheless.

Someone who comes to mind is William Levy(Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, Addicted). He's Cuban-Jewish. He'd have to work on his American accent just a little bit.

How about Adrien Brody? He checks all the boxes. Good age, Jewish, can play unbalanced characters as well as tough guys, etc.

Brody would be a solid cast. Other apt Jewish actors for the part are Gabriel Macht and Cole Hauser. I seem to have read or heard that Zane Holtz is Jewish, but I can't be certain.

I'd be fine with Adrien Brody as Spector. We know he can get in superhero shape, and this could be a decent comeback role for him.

But I also want to see them push the multiple personalities angle and show Spector in his different lives.

If Emile Hirsch hadn't become such a wreck in the industry, I wouldn't mind him as a candidate either. Maybe if he can clean up his act.

You could really go a number of different ways with Marc Spector.

Wow. Levy has gotten jacked!
I didn't know he was in RE

I think I have a new favourite for the role: Jonathan Tucker from Kingdom and Justified(also a smaaall part in Hannibal). Terrific actor and looks the part.

He sure did. Yeah, in the trailers I've seen he's in them very little. Either way, I'm curious to see that film.

Ah, I forgot about him! Yep, he'd be just about right. He seems he would go with that "grounded"/"real guy" type look that Marvel/Netflix has gone with both Charlie Cox and Jon Bernthal. Bring Tucker on!

Tucker is an inspired choice. He was excellent on The Black Donnellys and Justified. Haven't seen Kingdom but he's clearly got the physique for the part.

Tucker is brilliant in Kingdom and I personally think it's his best work. He plays a MMA fighter who's a loudmouth and spends most of his time getting high and not doing much of anything. A character that in a lesser actor's hands would've ended up obnoxious, but Tucker really shows how tragic and full of heart this character actually is.

Personally, if I was casting from Kingdom I'd take Matt Lauria over him.

I quite like Matt Lauria on Kingdom, so I wouldn't be against him. I do think that Tucker is the superior actor and that he would be a more unusual choice for a superhero, which I find fitting for Moon Knight.

Oh, I absolutely agree that he's a better actor... but I think Lauria is a better fit for Moon Knight.

With Netflix cancelling series left and right, it doesn't look good for any of their lower level charcters.
Moon Knight could have worked here for sure.
Perhaps, its just Marvel setting themselves up for their own streaming service n the future, who knows right now.
Hopefully, Moon Knight will land a home in Marvel's new streaming service in an adult rated connected universe.

Since Moon Knight is a fresh, untapped property that he will end up somewhere sooner or later. However, I hope Scott Buck has nothing to do with it, and they don't ignore the costume either.

It’s the perfect way to start the post Netflix marvel tv series though

A couple of actors who I'd consider:

  • Alexander Skarsgard
  • Pablo Schrieber
  • Bradley Cooper
