Moon Knight (What If...)

He'd work but once again with him playing The Punisher already, one Marvel character, it won't work. Especially if he's going to look so Similar. Sam Elliot's General Ross and Caretaker were drastically different in looks and personality. This is too similar. While Thomas Jane can play Captain America and it would be easier for people to separate his two characters, it would be much hard to do as Moon Knight.

For Moon Knight himself I like the casting of Ryan Gosling, Cole Hauser, Guy Pearce and Tom Jane (if he wasn't Castle). But chronologically speaking, unless they're doing the Charlie Huston arc, Spector should be younger, given the time gaps between the different Moon Knight runs. Gosling and Hauser would be good. Just my two cents on the castings. Some of the suugestions are brilliant! I especially dig the idea of Vincent Cassel/Lambert Wilson as Frenchie and Sarah Polley for Marlene. She was great in Dawn of the Dead!

I was just watching 300 and then I thought this guy looks pretty good for Moon Knight/ Marc Spector....

Btw does anyone know what is going on with the Moon Knight TV series? Is it in development or is it dead altogether?

....his previous work, I think, has mostly been British tv work. I'm gonna check.

The top pic looks like a good Steven Grant pic, though I have yet to see him in anything save 300 (don't remember who he played, though it was awhile ago when i saw 300).

Also how about a MK animated movie/series? Can't go wrong with that.

I just read that he'll be working next in the Joel Schumacher film "Town Creek" along with Dominic Purcell and Henry Cavill.

An animated MK project is what we should get for the time being.

Joel Schumacher's kind of hit and miss, hopefully the project will turn out well.

I think they can get so many things right with an animated project. Heck even guest staring in one of the other animated projects would be great. The new spiderman series would be good, maybe then we'll see a rematch with the fly!

.....as long as the project looks a little something like this...

....bring it on!! Let MK first be known in animation until it is safe to take him to cinema.

This is how I see it, on the silver screen, Batman is once again on top. I don't think Moonie could stand a chance while this is happening. History has shown us that you don't put another lesser known masked crime fighting vigilante when Batman is sizzling because it will fail.

Think about it. This goes all the way back to the Batman Adam West show. The show was a hit. Then came The Green Hornet show, which was actually pretty good and had a more serious tone than the Batman show, but it didn't last long.

Fastforeward to the early and mid 90's, the Batman franchise is going strong. Both The Shadow and The Phantom hit the screens around this time(both were certainly better than the Schumacher Bat films) and tank.

The only exceptions would be Darkman, The Crow, and Spawn(to a point). Darkman and The Crow were concepts with a very different take, and Spawn, well, ...everything looks like Citizen Kane when compared to Batman & Robin.

So yeah, Moonie should wait until the water clears. But hey, I have been wrong before.....

Good analysis rogue. With high profile superhero films flooding the cinema every year Moonie may be better off as a animated hero. The Gotham Knight picture btw is sweet! I wish they can do something like that!

Random thought:
I dont know a lot about Moonknight, but the little that I know makes me think Michael C. Hall (Dexter) could be good.

He's a good choice. Another good choice in my opinion is Martin Henderson.

I'd say Karl Urban but I don't see him taking this role. If he would that'd be great because I think he's the best choice for Moon Knight. It's just one of those characters made for an actor like him.

After doing stuff like Doom and Pathfinder, I don't see why Urban would turn a good Moon Knight script down. He'd be a solid choice, though.

well Spider-man blew Batman out of the water

.....yes, but Spider-Man was already a very popular character with both fans and the average joe, unlike The Shadow, The Green Hornet, and The Phantom.

*ducks and covers for fanboy response*

This isnt gonna be pretty

i have no idea who moon knight, i just threw out the first pic i saw on here :O

Vin Diesel was born to play Gladiator (Daredevil's Gladiator). I can honestly see Vin Diesel as Moon Knight but there'd have to be a massive change with the hair either way. I think Vin Diesel looks...completely ridiculous with hair so Marc Spector would have to be bald.

With that said, there are waaay better choices for Moon Knight than Vin Diesel. Come on now. :oldrazz:

They are really going to have to play up the avatar of Konshu aspect and make the suit look more Egyptian somehow. The suit has to actually shine like the moon and should look like something a god or king would wear so let's see some gold and silver on there. People should be able to see Moon Knight coming and fear him. After all their hands should be "shaking so bad they couldn't hit the moon".

agreed!:yay:

Yeah, me too. I'm thinking a mix of that and the modern costume.

Either that or just keep the modern version and make certain parts metallic/chrome/silver in appearance. Like the moon on his chest, his gauntlets as well as the ones on his legs. The belt as well with a shiny white material for the rest of the costume. A shine like spandex but it shouldn't be made from it. It should look tougher. Thicker.

Ikinda like the Ultimate mask too. Iwouldnt get rid ofthe hood. Just when the hood comes off his mask would look like the UM one.
