Moon Knight (What If...)

Speaking of enemies, I've been thinking. It seems to me that Moon Knight's rogue's gallery is one that has yet to be....hmmm, I guess "extended" and also solidified. Besides Bushman, Midnight, The Secret Empire, and Taskmaster(in a way), most of the other villains have been one-shots. He needs new villains introduced, obviously.

However, just as Daredevil got his #1 nemesis, The Kingpin, from Spider-Man(and suited DD better than Spidey), there is a certain villain out there who I think is very adequate to Moon Knight's meatier world. He is mostly a minor foe of The X-Men but he is not often used. With a slightly more sinister, and creepier makeover, I think this character could shine like never before, particularly if drawn by either David Finch or Mark Texiera. I speak of none other than.....

Arcade

......I mean this guy had his own father killed in an explossion because he cut his allowance, for crying outloud!!

I had time to kill, and so I did this.....

What about Henry Ian Cusick from Lost. He looks a lot like Marc Spector in the newest series, and he can play both heroic and crazy with class.

He looks like an interesting choice. I like how he has a certain Arab-like ethnic look to him, which would be kinda' appropriate since the legacy of Moon Knight is of Egyptian culture. I think it would say alot about Marc Spector and make him stand out from say Bruce Wayne, Tony Stark or Matt Murdock.

I'm not sure having Arcade would help MK shake the stigma of being a cheap Batman knock-off in the general publics eye. They'd probably label him as a knockoff of the Joker.

Will it be that harmful to use him in just one story or storyline? I'm not suggesting him for a Moon Knight movie, just the comics.

if Arcade was ever brought into any form of filmed media, Seth green all the way.

No thanks. Batman is fine.

anyone who freakin argues that theres no similarity between the chracters is a freakin moron. So far the book as a series is a failure, i liked in the begining but Huston drew the arcs way to long and some of it could'nt even make sense. Also the whole talking to the crazy guy with half his face sliced off doesn't cut anymore....its annoying.

I don't see the point of the character.

Is this like you HJO as Cap comment?

Ikinda like the crazy Warrior style themed gang war going on right now in MK. That could be a cool plot especially since its something that a comic hero has yet to face in film if i remember correctly.

Are you high?!! It's one of Marvel's best books right now.

Moon Knight is about as similar to Batman as Daredevil and Iron Man so why not? And the character existed before Huston's run, you know. Read up.

Exactly. For that matter, you could say Batman is a ripoff of Zorro, The Shadow, and The Phantom.

Thanks for the positive feedback rogue trooper. I have been watching Lost since the first episode, and the second Cusick showed up, I said "that is Moon Knight". If you are interested in seeing his work, check out the episode of Lost called "The Constant". It is a testament to how well Cusick could pull off Moon Knight.

For this one I'm dead serious, Seth Green could pull it off, if he tried and I think he has the look for Arcade.

why, you must not be a Seth Green fan.

Not when he plays a whacked out loser on a power trip. He overacts like crazy. If he was to play Weasel in Deadpool would be a whole different story

Robot Chicken is the only great thing hes ever done.

I guess, we have different opinons, I liked him a couple of movies

MK seems like a great candidate for a TV series by Marvel studios, that's done correctly...Maybe shown on a network channel instead of broadcast...

Hi, long time lurker, first time poster :)
That's great news rogue trapper. I hope that's not old news, back when they announced the Moon Knight series a couple of years ago.

As for Moon Knight Casting, for some reason ever since the relaunch I've seen him as a very dark character. I like Thomas Kretschmann:

He's great in Immortel and usually excels in bad guy roles. So I think he can play Marc Spector well except the accent. He would be a good, more mature MK for a tv series I reckon, more of the MK from the ongoing series now.

If they want a Mk series with more humor keeping the intensity, how about Peter Krause:

The character probably isn't a stretch from his character in Six Feet Under.

For a tv series, how about Peter Wingfield who played Methos in the "Highlander" tv series and films. He reminds me a little of Texiera's Marc Spector and from watching X2, he can do a pretty decent American accent.
