Moon Knight (What If...)

If they did a Moon Knight movie I'd like o see it directed by either Quentin Tarantino or Robert Rodriguez.

I would love to see a Moon Knight movie. I think it'd be more suited as a DTV though. Something low budget that shows a soldier who supposedly died during a war and came back as a schizo who believes he's an avatar for an Egyptian moon god. I love Moon Knight and think something like that would work.

If it's going to be DTV, it should be animated. Not cheap live action. I know Moonie is not A-list like Spider-Man or Hulk, but even he deserves better.

Yea I was thinking the same thing. I actually think it'd work really well in a pseudo-anime style.

At a Moon Knight site in the message board, tv screenwriter Jon Cooksey(The Collector) responded to a fan regarding the Moon Knight tv series he's working on:

"Sorry for the delayed response – I’ve been buried and I also had to check with Marvel to see what the secrecy level is about the series, and (not surprisingly) it’s high (same as the movies), partly because the series is still in development, and partly because we want to protect all the surprises! So all I can tell you at this point is that I was brought on last year to write a pilot and bible, and develop some additional scripts with a few other writers, one of whom is a lifelong Moon Knight fanatic (I grew up a comic book fan too, but didn’t discover MK till later). We’ve all had a great time working on the scripts, and I love the storylines we’ve worked out for the episodes and the series as a whole. More than that I can’t say without starting to give stuff away!

MK fans in the US won’t know the last series I did, “The Collector”, at least until it sells down there (hopefully this year or next), though you’ve found the site. MK would be done with the same production team, and JB Sugar and I are tentatively planning to head down to LA in August to work with Marvel on selling the series for US broadcast.

So much more I’d like to talk about but it will have to wait till later stages. Thanks for writing, and keep in touch!"

{BTW That's not me nor did I make it.}

That is actually a damn good costume. :up: Makes me wonder what they'd use for the tv show though because clearly that wouldn't work.

I was kind of tried to avoid rubber but...wait, come to think of it, duh!, armor! He's the Moon Knight! Shiny white gold armor with silver accents here and there. Something that really makes him look like a mystical character. Something similar to Niteowl's costume there.

More silver, less white. The less it look like a white Klan costume the better.

That's what I meant by white gold. It's just this very metallic white. I really think this guy would look awesome in armor similar to Ozymandias here, being atomically correct and all.

So they're actaully going ahead with the MK show? I read a while ago that because of the Blade series being cancelled there probably wasn't gonna be a MK series. But I see they changed their minds.

A simple Moon Knight movie would be better than the show, he seems to be a great character but with limited stories. An origin movie would make me happier.

Why not have Marvel use their war chest of money to fund a MK adaption. Marvel Can get away with a $50 million budget I would think. And have Blade do a cameo at the end for a possible involvement in a 2nd MK if it does well. At least it gives another chance for a Blade movie as well.

....as I've stated previously, with Batman making waves in cinema once again, it is probably not safe for a relatively similiar character like Moon Knight to jump in the mix, or else it might share the same fate as The Green Hornet show, The Shadow and The Phantom film.

I think live or animated tv, or dtv animation is the way to go for the time being.

....although, if The Spirit does well at the box office, well, maybe there is a chance. Who knows.
