You know this talk of Batman and the Justice League got me thinking. Wouldn't be cool if they made a JL Elite + Outsiders film using Batman as a spring board. A kind of wetworks and blackops hero type of film.

There seem to be a lot of elements which put Batman the "spotlight" t: but at leats unlike a certain clawed one of a mutant franchise he doesn't seem to become a warmer individual ..out of character.

i have hope ,that said ,that all the members will have their moment to shine : after all Dc wan't to spinn of most of them from that movie.

I think WB has more confidence in the Batman brand name than any of the DC properties. I mean sure Superman made more globally, but look at where we are. Bats has a cartoon show and has a sequel being filmed. It's no surprise they are using him as a major crutch for the JL film.

While I don't think an origin film is needed per se, I think a nice 5 to 10 minute prolouge similar to Lord of the Rings is in order here. Something that explains in very quick terms the powers/origins of 5 of the 7 JLAers ( I really don't think Superman and Batman need their origins or abilities explained anymore ) But the general audience is not familiar with the other members of the JLA that much, except maybe Wonder Woman, and that's just gonna be mostly based on vague memories of Lynda Carter from 30 years ago. Again, nothing extensive, just a "This is who they are and what they can do". Unlike the X-Men or the Fantastic Four, where each team memer essentially has the same origin, this really is not the case with the JLA. I have a pretty strong suspicion the studio will mandate this anyways at some point.

General audiences don't really go for origins like fanboys do. You can enjoy some hero vs. villain battles without knowing a character's entire history.

If WB keeps this vague origins policy, it'd be a smart move. It'd save time and money for the bigger scenes. Then again, throughout the whole film, you can have interaction or dialogue that reveals a character's backstory or at least hints at it.

The Empire sized twist is Batman kills the now evil Superman before he can kill every one else. The 3rd villain is Luthor; who it is revealed designed the plan toget superman killed. Superman was turned by Maxwell Lord, who brainwashed and controled superman via Martian Manhunters mind control; a plan set int oaction by the omacs and crime syndacite.

I think its probably Batman being forced to kill Maxwell to save Diana's life (at the suggestion of this "third villian"). .
