Morrison's Multiversity

This really is shaping up to be Grant Morrison's superhero magnum opus if the whole series keep up the level of the first issue. Crazy.

Wow, the Multiversity is more complex than I initially thought. That video really helps though

S.O.S was another fantastic issue. I'm loving the hell out The Multiversity so far.

I also had the opportunity to read WE3 this past weekend. In three short issues Morrison managed to tell one of the most poignant stories I've ever read...without very much dialogue. Amazing.

my only gripe with sos was the face that immortal man was absent half the issue with vandal savage, then at the end atom and fate are like, where the immortal dude?

This issue was good but i enjoyed it alot less than the first. im still on board tho

"What's wrong with calling them comic books?"

Oh Damian I have asked myself the same question for about the last 16 years or so now.

Really looking forward to this

Ah, yeah, that sounds like it'll be real interesting.

How long until someone contradicts something in it though? 6 months? A year?

Oh man I feel so bad about the eventual ugly aftermath of the party in The Just. I wonder if we'll see the results of that ending in the guidebook.

I wanted to like multiversity, but i dont think i could possible care any less for it than i do, after that last issue especially.

Il check out the marvel family issue and thats that

Have you not enjoyed any of it, or just that last issue? Each issue is meant to be deliberately different from the others. I mean, you got to check out the next one at least: The Quietly one that homages the original idea and form of Watchmen.

i understand what every issue is intended to do, but yes that last issue was god awful. the first one was cool, the second was fun, the third was terrible. I'l flip through the next one first.

Did you guys hear that Jim Lee is penciling the Master Men issue?

I'm sorta conflicted about this. I think Jim Lee is an awful storyteller. His layouts are too chaotic and all over the place and lack any semblance of flow. His style is more suited for covers and poster art than a full blown comic book issue. Though ironically I also feel this is why he was such a good fit for All-Star Batman but I digress.

On the other hand casual comic book fans still really freaking love Jim Lee for whatever reason. So this issue will probably bring new eyes to The Multiversity once it hits and that's not a bad thing.

I wasn't aware of it, didn't know Lee was on the roster of artists. Which world is this? I'm assuming Freedom Fighters themed?
