Alright, I'm out last night at a club, and I see two guys kissing next to me... I make a comment to my buddy, saying that it was pretty gross how these two guys were like basically making out in front of everyone...

all a sudden this frizzy haired, ugly chick next to me, shouts out "you homophobe!!"

I'm like "excuse me, I am not one, but I think it's a bit much for anyone, to be makign out like the plane is going down, at a bar"

She just wouldn't let it go, kept calling me a homophobe, telling all these "gay" men, that she wasn't even with, that I was making a scene about them being together...

I was just in awe, and considering my best friend is gay, and was the one who I made that comment too last night, my head was just spinning. My friend even got **** from these people, telling him that if he had any pride, me wouldn't hang out with a homophobe..

Getting sick and tired of that term being used unjustly..... people today seem to use it anytime a straight man, doesn't like homosexuality...

me, I don't "like" it, but I respect it, and am tolerant of it... doesn't make me a homophobe, it makes me human, because each of us has our likes and dislikes... a homophobe is someone who is intolerant and disrepectful to anyone gay or anything gay..

my buddy thinks that vagina is gross, but that's just the way he is programmed, and that's fine.... doesn't make him a hetrophobe

The way you explain it, it sounds like you were grossed out cause it was two guys, but wouldn't have been grossed out if it was a guy and a girl.

But yes I agree that people use the term "homophobe" for anyone who doesn't care to watch it happen as opposed to just those who are intolerant and disrespectful to gay people.

Here's what really happened:

BillyZaned, "That's so gross!"...

*keeps watching*

read the third paragraph.. I said it's gross for anyone to be making out like that at a bar

and that I said that to my friend Jake, who happens to be gay

Yes I read the whole post, even the 3rd paragraph. I'm just saying, the way you posted it, it still sounded like you were grossed out it was two guys.

I'm sure your reaction would have been different if it were two girls.

If I see someone making out at a bar I just get drunk and let the good times roll , it doesn't bother me at all.

It's true, he did say he was at a club... and what do people go to clubs for? Get drunk, maybe dance and try to find someone they can play touchy feely with. It's not like you were in Chuck E Cheese.

In your defense what you say or the opinions you express are entirely your business and as such are not held to the scrutiny of the public at large. You have the ability to speak your mind about anything. You could've said "I hate gays!" and I would feel no differently because you're entitled to express your opinions.

In her defense, same thing goes. She's entitled to feel about your statement however she sees fit. If she wants to go ape**** because she thinks you're a hateful homophobe, so be it.

Basically this whole situation could be avoided if people stop caring so much about what other people say.

I confess that if someone sees something that is not the norm, like a gay couple or even an interracial couple and they say, "I don't wanna see that", it can come across as a tad prejudiced, even if they just don't care for the whole PDA thing, period. That's just how we are.

You got PC'ed by an attention ****e. I'm with you on this, the reaction by the crazy chick was unnecessary.

You haven't done it until you did it in the ball pit at Chuck E. Cheese.

Me and a couple friends went to Chuck E. Cheese once in college and one of my friends passed out in the ball pit. All you could see were a little bit of his shoes.

I'm also sick of the homophobe label being thrown around so much. Every summer in Chicago whenever it's time for the Gay Pride parade someone will ask if I want to go. I always say no and I'm always accused of being a homophobe for not wanting to go to the parade. When really, it's just not my scene, I don't go to Puerican Parades or the Bud Billiken Parade, which is predominately for African Americans, do I fear those people as well?

I would'a looked up
saw it.
said "Oh my..." (to myself)
and went on about my day.
And if I said what you had said.
That girls scouter would have saw my power level was clearly 9001 and I was aiming to ruin her and everyone else in there.

:lmao:

That sucks to hear.

Looking at a few other posts in regards to getting labeled a homophobe for stupid reasons, all I can say is welcome to the liberal/PC brainwashed society we've brought upon ourselves.

I swear most people are cowards who can't think for themselves and jump on the bandwagon almost every time just to fit because they're afraid of looking/sounding ignorant to 'the majority'.

The OP used the word "intolerant" in the title a bit incorrectly, I think, unless he was parroting the woman in some fashion. If that was not the case, then "presumptuous" would have been a better word for it.

They pay taxes, they can do what they want in public as long as its not causing a major scene. Just turn your head and look away, or walk away.

What do some of the gay hypesters have to say about this incident?

Yeah, that's what I thought when I read it, too. But the girl still had no business eavesdropping on a private conversation and behaving like such an idiot, regardless of whether or not you sounded homophobic.

But you're just a lowly soldier and I am a Saiyan prince.
