Usually Movies with Ensemble casts are really good movies that are praised by the critics.

    Some examples are:

    - Pulp Fiction
    - L.A. Confidential
    - Crash
    - Ocean's Eleven.
    - Boogie Nights.

Just curious, but were there some of these types of movies that you just didn't like?

It's a weird descriptor because most movies feature an "ensemble cast"

If you're talking about movies where the big draw is seeing a boat-load of big names all in the same movie, I dislike all of them for that reason.
The movie is no longer about the story and now it's just an opportunity to go, "OMG! DeNIRO is TALKING to PACINO!!! ON screen!!!
    I prefer movies with unknowns.

But one that should be mentioned for it's craptitude is RAT RACE!

Tombstone has got a amazing cast - Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Bill Paxton, Michael Biehn, Billy Zane, Sam Elliot, Powers Boothe, Charlton Heston!, Thomas Hayden Church, Dana Delany, Billy Bob Thornton, Jason Priestley, Robert John Burke - that's half of Hollywood right there.

But wait - I love Tombstone!

Tommy. The worst ensemble movie ever made. Bad singing, bad arrangements and it just came this close to destroying the integrity of The Who's masterpiece of an album. It's the career low point for The Who, Clapton, Ann-Margret, Tina Turner, Oliver Reed and especially Jack Nicholson (I love that man, but he should never be allowed to sing again unless it's for comedic purposes like in Anger Management). Elton John had the one good scene with his version of "Pinball Wizard" that blows the original version by The Who away. Otherwise, it's crap.

Can't believe I've never seen that. But you reminded me of Sargeant Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band: The Motion Picture.
    Whoah.

Also, check out "Sextet" with Mae West and Timothy Dalton singing "Love Will Keep Us Together". :)

    I've TRIED to watch Ocean's 12, I really have...

The whole Julia Roberts impersonation scene is just ridiculous, other than that, it's something that seems to have a lot going for it but just isn't good.

Probably Sam Raimi's The Gift. I love the guy, but this film was a total disaster. So much talent and all of it, ALL of it was just wasted. How the hell do you make Hillary Swank suck?

I won't stop you from checking it out. A lot of people actually do like it, the people who hate it are mainly huge fans of The Who, which I can proudly admit I am (they're my second favorite band, behind Zeppelin, of course). It's just a messy, ugly film with no real substance thanks to Ken Russell's rediculously over the top musical sequences (check out Ann-Margret's chocolate sauce sequence) as well as complete lack of interest from the band, Townshend in particular. Townshend I think actually suffered a breakdown while making the movie.

Yeah, since it's far too good to be bunched in with the trash they usually nominate and award.

And that hack Singer's dreadful X-Men butcheries are my picks. God, what a waste of what should've been one of the coolest movie franchises ever.
