I wish it was as good as everyone says it is.
Surely you kid.

Lighthouse said:Gladiator - I still have no idea why people go so ape**** for this movie. Its okay, but doesn't nearly deserve a Best Picture Oscar.
Napoleon Dynamite - A few amusing scenes don't make a good movie.
Superman Returns - I've never wanted to love a movie so bad, but as time goes by, I just feel even more disappointment from it, and I can't understand how anyone was able to relate to any characters in this movie.
Yeah but i think they did a great job of loosing the kid exterior in Aviator. He just holds his own in a really great cast.tinister said:You know - it's not even that I think he's a bad actor. I think he's decent.
He's just got one of those faces that - at least for me - always looks like a kid. So anything that he's been in where he plays an adult - I can't accept him in those roles. And so all believability in those movies for me disappears.
The Aviator is probably the best example of this. He just looked like a kid dressed up as an adult and trying to act like an adult.
Know what I mean? That's why I liked him in almost all of his movies before Titanic.

I agree.SolidSnakeMGS said:LOTR especially.
Sandman138 said:Best movie based on a comic so far, if you ask me. I think a lot of people go into it expecting a thriller though. It's a drama and social allegory, if you want it to be a thriller, you'll be dissapointed.

I love the really good effects on the cave troll, Gollum, Balrog, Nazguls, etc., so I enjoyed watching them for that...Ian McKellan was perfectly cast, Viggo was good, overall they were an amazing acheivement as far as the scope.....but god, I don't ever want to watch them again.

I hate Liev Schreiber. His eyes pierce into the darkest deepest corridors of my mind. He knows...I like to to piss in garbage cans. I can tell any time I watch one of his movies, the way he stalks away and glares. HE KNOWS WHAT NOBODY ELSE KNOWS!!SolidSnakeMGS said:I don't mind DiCaprio but he was NOT good for The Aviator. He didn't look or sound anything like Hughes, as Hughes was one of those man's man type macho guys. There was also about half a foot height difference, not that that in itself means anything but goes to show they weren't concerned about getting his physical appearance emulated in the movie.
Liev Schreiber would have made a much better Hughes.

There were many scenes that were just painfully reminiscent of a late 80's music video and his insane overuse of slo-mo made me ill.
