I love it!!!

I love it!!!

The hatred towards Superman and somewhat to batman and DC!!!!!!

hey btw are you guys ONLY supporting GR and SM3 next year because that aint cool. You should support all the marvel movies coming out next year like GR, SM3 and F4-2.

To be honest with you I was really looking forward to F4 and i watched it but i was a little dissapointed. And i blame FOX for that.

But who cares i will still support F4-2 as much as GR and SM3. So who is with me??

I support ALL marvel movies. ALL of them. Not so much the next Hulk one but I'm still supporting it

I support all things Marvel. I'm thinking about buying stock in them in fact.

I thought FF was awesome and a great start to the franchise. I'm really looking forward to the sequel. That goes for Hulk as well. And definitely Punisher. The Blade TV show. The animated features. All of it I love.

I liked Hulk but I wasn't excited by it, if that makes sense. I will no doubt watch Hulk 2 and I fully support it but I am not going to get hyped about it.

Unlike Ghost Rider

SM3, X3, Iron Man, GR I am looking forward them all. Hulk and F4 were good but can be better, so hopefully the sequels are better....

Yes i am definally looking forward to FF2. as well as SM3 and GR.

to be honest the blade show looks really horrible. And this is coming from someone who liked Blade:Trinity.they could have picked a better blade.

.................there making hulk2?!...lol j/k

i see EVERY comic book movie... DC.MARVEL.SINCITY(???).CONSTANTINE(???)..all of it!

im not hyped for sm3,ff2,hulk2,or supes...... for some reason i see potential in GR

I thought they were going with a G rating????

Still don't care, still going to watch it.

Ask not what the rating will be. Ask if the film will be any good!

impossible..... not with a G rating:o

I've liked almost all Comic movies so far, regardless of their rating or comic company (DC, Marvel, etc, etc).

Some movies were just extremely crappy and I couldnt find any memorable part in it. Those two movies are Fantastic Four and Spiderman. I'm not having high expectations for Superman either.

Movies I Enjoyed:

I did enjoy Batman, X-Men, The Matrix, Punisher, Hulk, Daredevil DC (Ben Affleck ruined it not MSJ), Blade, Hellboy, Constantine, and the upcoming GR and Transformers (already). Keep em coming DC and Marvel!

--

On another note, remember what MSJ said, every Comic franchise movie out there that makes it BIG, is to the BENEFIT of the entire market, which will help create more Comic Movies.

What would you expect from the movie more if it was an R rating. More blood, nudity, language, etc.....

I'm sure you can get a good bit of violence out of PG-13 without having to show much blood. I was watching the last episode of HOUSE the other night and it was very graphic and it's just a tv show. It had a guys eye pop out, balls explode (onto a doctors face) and his stomach ripped open and it wasn't some HBO movie.

in my hunted down opinion ben affleck was no problem at all ... he had great chemistry with jon favreau(spelling)

NO all of us should support MARVEL films so we should be hyped for SM3 and FF2.

This film looks good period. If at the end of the day the wise people who decide what rating he should be decide it is a G or something I'm not going to argue...I don't care about the rating just the fact that this movie looks AWESOME

ooookay. This is getting almost cultish now. lol. I support all comic book flicks. Brand name means nothing to me because either one can suck (although Elektra and Catwoman are the only movies of their's that have sucked to me so far). If it's based on a comic book, I'll watch it (have yet to have seen Road to Perdition and the movie about the former hitman though...name escapes me. stars Viggo Mortensen and Peter "Robocop" Weller).

Anyway, back on topic. PG-13 seems right. GR has never been in R rated territory, just right on the edge. There is violence but it is not graphic like say Blade or The Punisher and the swearing is kept to a minimum...Expected PG-13 from the start and I'm gonna check out this flick no matter what the rating.

A History of Violence perhaps is the movie you can't name

An R-Rated GR would be great. But much like an R-Rated Batman isn't needed or neccessary. GR has never been anything over than a harsh PG-13.

Punisher=R
Ghost Rider=Pushed to the limit PG-13

It should have an R-rating, but if it pushes the PG-13 to its limits, it'll be alright. Plus, the new trailer has pleased the majority who has seen it, so that's a big plus.

I respect you guys and all, but...I gotta defuse the Superman hate. He is a hell of a lot deeper and more interesting character then you guys have ever realized, you just have to dig into it a bit.

I was never a big fan of Superman anyway, far too perfect and not enough flaws.

Not enough flaws? Consider this...perhaps his worst flaw...is his own strength.

Think about it--you are from another planet, having powers that make you stronger than any human being on the planet, but, you are still raised as though you're a human being. What does a human being need, when you boil it down to his psychological and spiritual needs? Affection. Friendship. Love. Loving. But, because of his strength, he can never truely feel the things that he needs as a "human being." He can't shake a friends hand without worry about breaking it. He can't truely embrace his wife, and...well...I'm sure we've all heard of the shotgun theory...

The way I look at it, Superman, in a sense, does what he does not just to protect people...but to save them so that they can have the things that he can't.

That enough flaws for you?

wolfsfang said:
That is unless you count bad disguise ideas as a major flaw, but then how gullible and stupid are the rest of the characters? Look at the workers in the Daily Planet. Here is Superman, a guy they see every day, his face is everywhere, printed in newspapers, on cereal and on everything else you can think of. And then there is Clark Kent, a guy they see every day because the work with him...come on its the same guy with glasses on, how the hell don't they recognise him?

Here's a hint--Watch Superman: The Movie, espically the bit where Clark is in Lois' room. We see exactly why people don't reconize him--Superman plays Clark like a bubbling, weak, pathetic, wimp.

In that scene, he starts off with the huge rimmed glasses, back hunched down, with this almost naisal, stuttering voice. But, when she leaves, he changes in a heart-beat--he stands up straight, takes the glasses off, and tells Lois from the other room in a low, masculante voice that he has something he has to tell her, seemingly to tell her who he really is--but as soon as she comes back, he's instantly back in that weak version.

THAT is why his co-workers don't reconize him as Superman--he's so convincing at being a weak, clumsy geek as Clark that no one could possibly see him as Superman, even if he has a similar look to him.

wolfsfang said:
You know that is why I used to like the Tick, that series realised the stupidity of the situation and ran with it, you know when he used to wear a suit and tie over the top of his tick outfit but you could still plainly see it, well you could but the rest of the cast couldn't for some reason...classic. But in Superman it is supposed to be a serious disguise.

The first thing I agree with you on--The Tick does kick ass.

ARTHUR: You're insane!
THE TICK: Perhaps, or I've just gotten SANE in a CRAZY WORLD!

wolfsfang said:
Number two is Robin's, from Batman and Robin of course.

Well, if you mean the movie, then we all know how much that movie sucked. :o

wolfsfang said:
Yeah and what about Batman's disguise, his mask only covers half his face. That is all you need to recognise someone.

See above reason for why people don't reconize Batman (though for Bruce it's the "drunk playboy" act, not the "bumbling geek" act). Plus, he also puts on an act as Batman--look in the Keaton movies and in Begins, he always has a low growl for a voice when they're in the suit. Plus, with the night-time and his advanced martial arts moves/technology, most of the thugs think he's more of a supernatual creature than an actual person.

wolfsfang said:
If you saw, say Jim Carrey's mouth and was ask to identify the person, 90% of you would guess it was Jim Carrey.

...Or just some guy with a wierd mouth. :o

You're really stretching it there, my friend.

wolfsfang said:
Yet no one can look at Batman and say that is Bruce Wayne, even tho, like Superman, they see both characters every day and can make comparisons.

Not exactly. Batman only comes out at night, meaning that most of the people he knows outside of his activities (say, fellow socialites or friends) won't easily see him, and if they do, they're either convinced that the drunkard is probably out chasing tail instead of putting on the costume, or they think that Batman is a supernatural creature like the criminals.

Now back to Ghost Rider

He has a FLAMING SKULL HEAD!!!

Yeah, it helps the secret idenity stuff when it isn't technically YOU that's doing the deeds, but a possesed demon with no idenitifying marks. :o

This thread sucks. "That comic is published by someone else, it must suck!!!!!!!!" That is the stupides s**t I've ever heard, I really can't stand Marvel Zombies or whatever the hell the people who are obsessed with only DC are called. If it's good, it's good. Batman Begins was great, Superman Returns looks great. V For Vendetta, Constantine, the original 2 superman and batman movies, all very good. If you guys can't see that, I guess I feel sorry for you more than anything else, because you're so closed minded you wont let your brand loyalty get in the way of discovering new things that you'd probably like.

Oh, and by the way, we know that it's rated PG-13, welcome to 6 months ago, *****e.

LoL. Not necessary. Funny but, not necessary.

You see, for me Joker, I'm a Marvel man through and through and it has nothign to do with brand loyalty. It has to do with Universe loyalty. I enjoy the universe as a whole and I get no enjoyment out of leaving that universe to read stories (or watch movies) in another.

Having said that, I really do still think that Superman sucks. I'm just not a fan of those who can do everything... especially those in blue and red tights who can hide from the world by putting on a pair of glasses.

My thoughts exactly

I support Marvel because I feel they are better than DC.

But then having open heart surgery without anesthetic is preferrable to Superman

He doesnt just put on glasses. It's like Superman: Birthright said...Martha Kent gave him a whole speech about how her and Jonathan saw a play about twins, and it turned out that the twins were played by the same actor and no one in the audience could tell because they acted so different. He puts on glasses, changes his hair, slouches, and acts totally different. Just look at the pictures of Superman and Clark Kent from the new movie side by side. If you didn't know they were the same person, it would be difficult to tell, especially if you knew one guy was Superman and the other was a bumbling reporter who couldnt go 10 minutes without knocking something down.

And the universe loyalty argument doesnt hold up with me either. All the marvel movies are in a different universe from each other and not connected at all to one another. So how is that different than enjoying a Batman or Superman movie? It's severly limiting yourself for no good reason. I can see why people dont like specific character (I for one hate Green Lantern and Aquaman) but cutting yourself off from a whole different set of characters just because it's not related to some stuff you already read just seems incredibly stupid to me, no offense.
