I was wondering where all the character threads went. Seems they've kinda been forgotten.

Is there any feats of stretching that you'd like to see Reed do in the movie this time?

How about a simple stretching punch to the face? Even the original FF movie had that.

Doesn't look much worse than the scene catching the fireman, or the scene stretching for the toilet paper. Both very much bad quality. :o IMO

I also mean with how the costumes look.

I can't agree with you.

But yeah, the older movie's costumes, with their shiny spandex? Highly questionable. :)

Whats up with his hair? Maybe it's just the angle, but it looks like he has some wierd bowl haircut, or like a George McFly thing going on.

And don't forget those high quality "4" emblems that were cut out of cheap felt. Or maybe white flocked Contac paper..

Have you seen the movie? 'Cause if you think that looks cheesy, you ain't seen nothin' yet. For example, how about Sue's forcefields?

They appear like they may be made of plexiglass. :whatever:

AMAZING GRACE
MPC has completed the visual effects sequences for Michael Apted’s ‘Amazing Grace.’ The film tells the story of Member of Parliament William Wilberforce and his crusade to end slavery in the eighteenth century British Empire. The Walden Media produced ‘Amazing Grace’ was shown at the 2006 Toronto Film Festival in September where it ‘wowed’ the assembled audience.

Director Michael Apted wanted to convey “the might and majesty of the British Commercial Fleet of the late 18th century.” With this in mind, MPC’s task was to ensure that the period elements flawlessly matched the location shots. The artists created historically accurate digital environments and many of the tall ships of the era, which transported everything from tea and spices to rum, molasses and slaves. In addition to period elements, MPC developed sequences that illustrate Wilberforce’s nightmares about the horrors of slavery and what seemed like a never-ending struggle to force change.

The MPC crew, including VFX Supervisor Greg Butler and VFX Producer Julia Wigginton, spent four days on the shoot in Gloucester Docks, which doubled for London’s East India Quay of the time. Scenes filmed at this location included two fully crewed period ships which sailed the canal. Other vessels and costumed crew were part of the live action, with extensions and backgrounds created and composited into shots back at the MPC studio. While some period elements of the existing Gloucester Docks remain, most of what is seen in the film was either built by the film crew or created by MPC. To create ‘the hustle and bustle’ of old London, crowds and atmospheric library elements such as dust, smoke and fog were created and composited into the final shots.

After the initial screening at the Toronto Film Festival, Amazing Grace will be released in the US February 23rd with worldwide during 2007.

im hoping if doom is in the film ( i know this off the subject) but he has to call him ricahrds this time around it's inevitable .

Also i could really see yuo iaon seucceding as the father, husband type he just come axxross naturally that way

I know a new thread probably didn't need to be started, but their have been so much discussion about the film, but i haven't seen much about Reed and how his powers will be displayed? Will he have action? Will we see him use his powers in fantastic ways like he does in the comics? Mr Fantastic is such a good character and he's been short changed more then even Doom in my opinion. I'm just curious?

I so thought you were talking about him boinking Susan. :o :(

Reed's involvement looks to be mostly cerebral. Although, I have read that he displays his powers more prominently than the first movie.

he gets some of Johnny's powers I believe.

Well in that new trailer we see him stretching around the london eye but for the most part it looks like his involvement will be cerebral as mister j said.

From what I hear, he turns out to be a decent leader in this movie, so I imagine he'll get his fair share of action. I wouldn't bet on him getting any major one-on-one fights, though, but taking more of a coordinative role in the battles.

He seems more there, with Sue. And sue isn't going to take a man who isn't there. He seems to be a fine leader, from the way he deals with the silver surfer.

I'm still waiting to see what Gruffudd will bring to the table this time. But I was not impressed with the first go at bat.

I wish they had pegged George Clooney for the part. I think he would have made a great Reed Richards.

Gruffudd would have been a better Plastic Man.
