MTG: Magic The Gathering

Gonna get some novels later when i have more reading time.

We have about 20 odd decks, a black control is the best prob, followed by a white weenie.

Black revolves around Death Cloud, Scion of Darkness, Dark Necromancer, Dredge Return, Isochron sceptre and terror etc. Also some swamp cycling zombies with regenerate.

Some more artwork for all you haters out there:oldrazz:

Whenever I have to go to a comic shop and see people playing Magic or some other game, I glance at them and smirk.

I used to play a lot in middle school because all of my friends did. In high school though I stopped because I didn't see them much. I still have a **** load of cards and remnants of decks.

As good as the first one was in standard about, oh, two years ago I think, you can't deny Wizards was thinking about their prepubescent/13 year old crowd with the artwork. Same goes for the angel at the bottom who's astoundingly good in the current standard format.

Insane combo.

Quirion Elves, Intruder Alarm, Prodigical Sorcerer, and 2 Shrieking Wyvern.

I'm not a fan of TCG's, but I must admit that the artwork is gorgeous. There is one TCG I'm looking to get into: A Game of Thrones, which is based the A Song of Ice and Fire universe.

^Good books. I just got into them.
Me too.:woot: I'm on the third book right now.
I love the story so far, and I'd have to say either Sansa or Arya are my favorite characters. I like how Sansa has evolved since the first book, and Arya's story is just crazy.
I can't wait to see the TV series next year.

I've not gotten that far yet...I was touched when the direwolf pup was killed. This Martin guy's pretty good.

I used to play this game when I was 7, and I was a beast at it.
Now, I forgot and don't have the will to want to learn again.

Love this game. Started seriously playing last summer and got hooked. I tried all kinds of CCGs and Magic was clearly the best in my mind.

Bought a few beginner decks.

Never actually played or learned how to play.

Waste of money... FRIK!!

You do know that a lot of the Alpha/Beta/Revised are selling for strong amounts, right? Last I heard, Mox [Emerald/Onyx/Ruby/Sapphire/Pearl] were running like $200, with the Black Lotus running at like $500.

You could have very well gave away your entire future for two movie rentals. :p

Back in HS the guys I played MTG with, they had the price guides and I didn't have much worth more than the $10 I got for it... So I think I got the better deal there :D

Here's hoping. Lat thing I'd want is for someone to screw themselves over. That's why I go ape**** over seeing people throw away comics and stuff.

I recently got some cards off E-bay, like tempest and ice age, alliances sort of set, old cards, like 2 mana counter spells and one manner return creatures, all the cores of tournament decks, pretty awesome stuff, and rather cheap!

Awesome.

Most of my cards are Ice Age, Arabian Nights, Mercadian Masques, Fifth Edition, Urza's, and a few unglued [for collections, mostly].

I started collection in Onslaught, then got legions and scourge, then mirrodin. Then stopped playing for a while. Recently grabbed some time spiral and these random cards from e-bay too, have coldsnap(ice age redux) on the way.

Older cards I find, are very basic but powerful, more interesting abilities appear in oddysey onwards.

Aye. Like I said before, I started playing back in 1999, and got ahold of a lot of older cards, as well as some then-recent cards. I bought a few decks not too long back, and I'm not as big a fan, since they redesigned the cards. They don't feel like "Magic", ya know?

I use to go to Dunkin Donuts around 10-11 at night and there'd be people playing it there.
