I just dont agree...I have no clue who is over this voting..but Coldplay out to Tokyo Hotel? wtf...White Stripes as a 4 seed? (favorite band so im gonna always disagree...especially if they lose)

My thoughts? Nothing MTV does in relation to music matters anymore (nor HAS it mattered for the last decade). I mean, for ****s sake...Look at the bands "advancing" over some of the mainstays like Green Day, U2, Coldplay. Can anyone name half of them? **** MTV.

I'm telling you. That entire bracket is WTF worthy, starting with Nickelback being a 1 seed.

Comparing bands? Wow that's mature. It's not as if you can measure objectively something as subjective as art. Sounds like comparing painters to me.

This thing certainly shows that I'm turning into an old man. I have never heard of 75 % of those bands.

And AFI beats the Foo Fighters? AFI is one of the most horrible abominations and they beat one of the greatest modern rock bands?

How is this voting being conducted? Is it a fan vote? It has to be fans voting because MTV only attracts extremely young teeny bop girls that wouldn't have good taste in music if it came out of their vaginas.

Where are the metal bands? I saw Slipknot and they got beat by some band I never heard of. Where is Metallica? Pantera? Slayer? Megadeth? How about Alice in Chains?

I figure they left many of those bands out because some of them are way too awesome to even be on that list.

I agree with one poster on here. When it comes to MTV and their "musical selecting" they don't know crap.

i noticed most of it is music you can slit your wrist to...
only a couple greats survived...but this is ridiculous and biased by mtv and their love for baby emos...not unless it was fan voting...either way...this is why i dont watch mtv at all anymore
