Sequels Multiple Man movie with James Franco announced!

@SlamAdams. Nope. Kinberg is the one that should plan all.of these films as he was hired to be the supervisor of these films, act as the Kevin Feige. But it looks like they are accepting pitches from others that probably have nothing to do with Kinberg's own ideas. You wouldn't get this kind of deal in MCU films as those films are carefully planned by Feige.

Multiple Man was Kinberg's idea, pitched to Franco while working with Franco on a side project.

But yeah, no excuse for no Storm movie now. With X-23 and now Multiple Man, there is literally no reason not to make one.

its probably as simple as fox don't wanna make a storm movie.

FOX must feel there is something to offer in making a Multiple Man movie... Possibly because no one has made a superhero movie with a character that can replicate himself multiple times and do something visually interesting with that.

It might be as simple as that.

I have no doubt there will be other mutants in the movie. The question to me is whether the title will be about the Multiple Man.

I think its fine if they focus on Multiple Man. But I seriously hope it would be called as X-Factor Investigations. Unless they plan this to be an unology then okay but it would feel like a waste. Also X-Factor doesn't need a lot of members, 4 to 5 including Madrox would be fine.

I definitely don't want to see a Halle Berry Storm movie. More open to Shipp spinning off after Dark Phoenix, not sure how the remaining First Classers will be involved after Phoenix anyway.

You didn't get what I was saying, but okay lol. As in when someone comes to them wanting to make a Storm movie like others have come to Fox asking for Legion, Gambit, the New Mutants, X-23, Deadpool, Blink/Polaris/Thunderbird/Ahab/Fenris, and now Multiple Man - there is no excuse as to not develop it.

I can see Franco going to Fox and asking about Multiple Man for sure. Seems like the right vehicle for him to do something weird, and I like that. I like them being open to different artistic voices coming in and doing something with the X-Men characters.

Well I definitely don't want to see a Alessandria Shipp Storm film as the actress has no star power IMO.

But what does a storm movie have to offer fox though that's different?

If we say new mutants is a horror and that's what's attracted fox to the idea of making a different type of X-Men movie then what does a storm movie offer?

There may have to be a hook before they are willing to make a solo movie.

@SlamAdam, If Dark Phoenix flops, its bye bye, sayonara, never again for that cast. And no way Fox would risk a Storm movie starring Alexandra Ship, they probably just cast her as the younger version of Berry's Storm not to headline a Storm film down the road.

Yes, the franchise usually needs to succeed for more movies.

Obviously they cast her for the ensemble. That's why I called it a spinoff. I figured SHH would have outgrown the idea that not being a Tom Cruise type would scare studios out of making movies.

Would be cool if Sam Raimi directs this and gets reunited with Harry Osborn!

Do you really not see what Storm has to offer that's different than other superheroes?? It's very obvious. Hint, it's not her powers.

Wait for someone to knock on Fox's door to pitch a rom-com superhero film featuring Storm and Forge!

I can't read the article yet. Any word on story ideas or "vibe" or movie. Like is it a heist film, comedy, etc.?

I'm guessing detective movie. Multiple Man ran X-Factor Investigations.

Madrox is a polymath. He sends his dupes out to learn and acquire knowledge and skills which he gains when he absorbing them. I'm sure that will factor into the movie as well.

I will not be surprised if this is some 30mil budget indie comic book film. A multiple character study kind of film lol. FOX were not kidding when they said they wanted to experiment with this franchise.

I kind of like that though. I like that they're going into different directors with their properties it keeps it fresh and interesting.

I've been saying how Multiple Man is the solo X-men movie I want made on other X-men threads. I'm excited about this!

Isn't that what Sony is trying to do with their Spiderman characters.:o

And it could be just as simple as that to make a Storm movie.

Don't excuse the inexcusable. Like you said they just don't wanna do it... just like WB didn't wanna make a WW movie until recently... and that wasn't a good thing. No matter how you spin it.

The fact of the matter is there is still a lack of good female characters that stand on their own in comics. Often times they're part of a larger team, and only occasionally get limited solo series. I feel like on the DC end they're a little better about it with characters like Batgirl, Zatanna, WW obviously, etc. On Marvel side all the good female characters are X-Men, you can't deny it.

since you want x-men cinematic universe to end why do you care what plans fox has on drawing board.

and if disney got x-men it's mor elikely storm wouldn't even be part of x-men but a black panther supporter character.

Wouldn't be surprised if Franco wanted to approach it almost like one man show. Many Jamie dupes talking to each other, exploring Jamie Prime. Could be interesting.
