Must Smallville be in Kansas?

So, if you wouldn't mind roughly outlining your ideal superman that might help, at least myself, better understand what you're talking about. Floor is yours, sir.

Not going to repeat what I've said for four years. There is the "search" optinion. Just look at my posts in this board, starting from 2008.

Yeah weren't you in Mark Miller's take on Superman?

I'm everyone. I'm no one. I'm everywhere. Nowhere. Call me... TruerToTheCore (and C. W. Saturn).

mmmkay anyway, I hated that Idea. He described Superman as having 'The eyes of a killer" and seemed to want a colder and more emotionally detached Superman.

Even though it will probably be filmed in British Columbia no matter where it is supposed to be set, I was wondering what people thought. Smallville being placed in Kansas is a relatively new norm. Its location has varied throughout Superman's history. It was for a long time in Northeast apparently (sometimes with a seaboard).

So, what do people think? Stick with Kansas? Do something different?
In comics? Yeah in Kansas. In the canon? Yeah in Kansas. In thenext movie where everything has to be different for the sake of it? Hell no! why Kansas?!?! What's the point? What's the interest? Just because comics did it for 70years does not mean they should do it nor adapt the suit correctly nor put the glasses on, nor this nor that.
No, no, no... I think a nice place would be Lincoln City, Oregon. Quite a lot of wind and fresh air to be raised with. There are beautiful lakes around this town, that would be quite a nice place to put the kents.
