My Own Worst Enemy

Yeah I enjoyed it quite a bit, hopefully they can keep it up.

I know if I think too hard about the logistics of something like this, I won't enjoy it nearly as much. So far, it's off to a good start, and Christian Slater as the lead definitely helps. I think the great thing about it is that they don't make the two personalities TOO different. They don't try to make one so drastically different from the other that you're supposed to forget that they're the same person. The hook is that they are the same person, and now the realize that they have to work together to stay alive and maintain both lives. I'm looking forward to seeing the story progress.

i tried giving this show a shot but I just can't get past my inherent dislike of Christian Slater. He did some semi-decent movies back in the late 80's/early 90's but now he just annoys me beyond belief. He's become a caricature onto himself and always does that awful quirky shtick.

The previews were really sweet. But I just could not get into the show for some reason.

I missed it last night, but lucked out with them showing it now on USA.

It's a pretty cool show so far. Very Jekyll and Hyde like. I think it's interesting that keeps waking up in the other part of his personality. Like the wife butt smack lol.:woot:

I'll for sure watch this next week, wouldn't mind seeing where this goes.

First let me say, that guy can act, sometimes I feel like there's two different actors playing each role, he does so well and seems different in each role, if I got into a fight with the secret agent persona I'd be intimidated, but punch the other identity in the face with no hesitation

This ep was a really good way to start the show off, I like it so far, but how far can you go with this theme, he's already found out, so what a top secret gov will just let it slide IDget it, it's like Prison Break, I like it at first, but they've broken out already why's the series still going? the series wen stale

gosh I sound bitter, just hoping the series doesn't go stale that's all, it seems like it'll start well and fall off

^^ I agree, I don't see how far they can take this premise without getting stale.

I just watched it. Very cool show. I look forward to seeing where it goes.

Quote of the year is on it, by the way:

Mavis: What happened in France?

Edward: God created the most beautiful place on Earth, then put the French there to even it out.

:lmao:

Yeah, but this show has definitely proven that he still has the chops to make it

I feel like it's a good show, but it didn't suck me in like I hoped it would. Maybe I need to give it another few episodes. The part where he wrote on his hand was definately hilarious though.

Whats with the Slater hate? Slater was excellent in He was a Quiet Man until the ending ruined the whole movie. Plus he was very good in Bobby and deserves a Downy Jr like comeback.

My favorite Christian Slater movies are still Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and Broken Arrow.

I hope this show does well Christian Slater deserves a good career. I hope this does for him what 24 did for Kiefer Sutherland.

I'm not hating on CHristian Slater, but I don't go around saying I have a favorite movie of his. However I will say his best movie, which I also enjoy, is Heathers.

Well I didn't mean that those were my favorite movies because of him. More like they were movies I enjoyed that he happened to be in.

I always loved KUFFS

Exactly. Christian Slater's great, man! Very underrated. True Romance is my fav flick and he's great in it ("Open your ****ing eyes!!!"). And let's not fogert Heathers, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Pump Up The Volume, Interview with the Vampire, Broken Arrow and Very Bad Things. He's getting too much hate.

finally saw this...my wife and I loved it!! He played is role great. I'm taking a leap of faith it won't be canceled...I HATE watching a show that only lasts a season.

Any word on how this show is doing? I'm VERY paranoud of the canceling axe coming to chop off it's head!!
