Hi guys. I'm so darn excited because I just won a really...really realistic Batman Begin's suit.
For the last couple of years I've been running around in this:
(It isn't all THAT bad, pretty good for the small amount of money I put into it, consisting of a good Latex Batman Forever (sonar) cowl, and a Rubies Batman Begins Deluxe fabric costume)
Now, I work at a kid's entertainment place in the area, and after a bunch of kids started having Batman themed birthday parties (plates, balloons, foam batarangs, etc) I started thinking, "Hey, I would really love to give these fledgling Bat-fans a birthday they'd never forget."
A few parties later, these parents hired a professional Spiderman actor to come to their party. Now I'm sorry, but this guy should not be charging $200 an hour for his services, his suit was really cheap, and he didn't really get into character all that much. I could tell the kids were thinking "Where the heck did they dig this guy up from?"
Anyways, I've been a poster on a forum called the "Brotherhood of the Bat", some of you may know it, for a while. The majority of members there make their own costumes, like DAVIDYR1 over here. They have this great eBay watch section, which basically alerts fellow "brothers" whenever a really good Bat-item is being sold on eBay.
So I started browsing out of whim.
Just a few weeks ago, I found this:
That cape is over 64'' long and 48'' wide! The armor itself is made of thick, sculpted latex, as is the cowl and the gauntlets. All I'm missing is the leg armor and the boots.
Naturally, I'll post pics of me in suit when I get it (its shipping Monday).
For now, I just can't wait to talk my boss into giving some little Batman fan alot more than he bargained for on his birthday!
