Hi guys. I'm so darn excited because I just won a really...really realistic Batman Begin's suit.
For the last couple of years I've been running around in this:

(It isn't all THAT bad, pretty good for the small amount of money I put into it, consisting of a good Latex Batman Forever (sonar) cowl, and a Rubies Batman Begins Deluxe fabric costume)
Now, I work at a kid's entertainment place in the area, and after a bunch of kids started having Batman themed birthday parties (plates, balloons, foam batarangs, etc) I started thinking, "Hey, I would really love to give these fledgling Bat-fans a birthday they'd never forget."
A few parties later, these parents hired a professional Spiderman actor to come to their party. Now I'm sorry, but this guy should not be charging $200 an hour for his services, his suit was really cheap, and he didn't really get into character all that much. I could tell the kids were thinking "Where the heck did they dig this guy up from?"

Anyways, I've been a poster on a forum called the "Brotherhood of the Bat", some of you may know it, for a while. The majority of members there make their own costumes, like DAVIDYR1 over here. They have this great eBay watch section, which basically alerts fellow "brothers" whenever a really good Bat-item is being sold on eBay.
So I started browsing out of whim.

Just a few weeks ago, I found this:

That cape is over 64'' long and 48'' wide! The armor itself is made of thick, sculpted latex, as is the cowl and the gauntlets. All I'm missing is the leg armor and the boots.

Naturally, I'll post pics of me in suit when I get it (its shipping Monday).

For now, I just can't wait to talk my boss into giving some little Batman fan alot more than he bargained for on his birthday!:yay:

Well guys, it came!
This is my new suit:

Man, this thing is amazing. The cape is...well...huge, and this cowl is sooo much smoother and form fitting than the other one I had. Where the first cowl had lumps and bumps along the side, indicating a bad latex casting, this is really smooth and sharp, the lines are well defined, and its made of thick latex that keeps its shape, so the ears don't wobble when you walk.
The suit itself is thick, heavy and you get a little hot while wearing it, but as you can see, its definitely screen accurate.
If you notice, I still need to acquire the Batman Begin's cape clips, because the cowl and cape were designed with those in mind, so if you notice the little white loops coming out from under the cowl, thats to hook the cape together with the clips.
Other than that, all I need is a really good pair of boots, and I'll be ready to hit the streets!
:D

Looks badass.. use it with black Make up around your eyes

Thanks guys. And...you too...Izzy...
Anyways, yeah, I just did my first appearance at work with this. A 7 year old kid named Brandt had his party, and you should have seen his face when I walked through the door!
I swear, I don't need to get paid for this, its too much fun!

That cowl is big. Kris makes them that way so it can fit some of the bigger noggin' bros.

Dont say too much about being paid for this stuff, WB may come after you. :D

Yeah, I'm in the prosess of fitting the cowl on the inside with some pads from bicycle helmets. They seem to do well.
Even though Kris does indeed make it a bit large, I can't fault it past that, this thing is almost completely screen accurate, smooth, and elegant. I love it.

And about payment, yeah, I'm pretty sure some sort of actor's license is required. How to get it...thats a mystery. I'm looking into it, along with my boss, who for now is just writing this down as "an added employee" to the party, albeit with a much...ahem...different uniform.
