MY THEORY. The GG2 costume in the trailer is a fake-out move!

Face it, that's what we're getting.

It's hard to make a full judgment yet. Impossible, really. The only full shot we have of him is really blurry and it's tough to make out any details. Looked kinda goofy, but I'll wait til I see a more defining pic.

The other quick shots of him looked cool, I thought.

The glider in the teaser even looks like Hobgoblin's.And with 10 months left it is easy for them to CGI a cloak for his costume.And the paintball mask has no details on it,like it was pasted on,so it can easily be removed with a Goblin mask.

The new Goblin mask wouldn't cover his whole head,just his face,the cloak would cover the back of his head.

Yeah... I saw that picture somewhere, I'm sure of it. Maybe in the Wizard special edition for SM2, in the 10 best/most dangerous/whatever section for Hobgoblin. Damn. I wish I knew why he was holding that... and at the same time, I don't...

I'm not sure if anyone has brought this up yet but remember this old set pic from a while ago that was taken in the allyway where Peter and Harry fight? We spotted somebody unmasked dressed all in black lying on the ground who we thought might be GG2 and the trailer pretty much confirmed that he is. Also you can clearly see Peter in the suit we saw him dressed up in during fight in the trailer landing on the ground. If Harry really was dressed up in this costume during filming this CG theory can't be correct.

hold up, I only saw that trailer twice and I couldn't get a view of what the gg costume even looked like, so I'm sorry to ask a seemingly dumb question, but what does the costume even look like? Does anybody have a still pic or something? Sorry for the stupid question, but I never even noticed that the suit looks like at all.

Okay, nevermind. I watched it, I looked closer, and it sucks. But anyway, he'll probably come back with something better. Or maybe not-he could just be crazy and not care about a good suit.

In case anyone needs to get it out of their system, I know I am a n00b. Anyways when a bomb goes off in some one's face in the movies or comics it usually results in the wearing of a mask. In Harry's case a pumpkin bomb going off so close to his face could force any number of results: paint ball mask/ old goblin mask/ and maybe even a new goblin mask? I heard it brought up earlier, so I just wanted to expand upon it. Remember this is the director of Darkman.

That would certainly explain a great deal, and yes a goblin mask of any size or shape would be vast improvement over what has been revealed thus far.

I still think that the costume will progress throughout the film.

Maybe [hopefully] Raimi will try to pull off some symbolism, and show us some definitive moments/steps to Harry's becoming his father. Then with each step closer to inheriting his father's "legacy", we see these changes coinciding with his costume becoming more and more a goblin costume.

I remember that... I remember them saying that Harry needed to have a certain haircut in the film too, to make sure that the prosthetics/costume he'd be wearing would fit the right way.

watch, at the climax of the film, harry's going to be in "classic" green tights and purple thong with lil elf boots, purse and cap! Spidey, Sandman and Venom will be like, "WTF" and proceed to kill him.

I told people that it was possible that the costume we see in the trailer is harrys starter costume. just like the sm1 ghetto costume, than in the movie as the story progresses we get full blown gg2 costume.

I doubt it. This scene happens right at the beginning, and with two other villians... there's not much room for multiple gg2 battles. Also from the trailer, there's the whole after-math mess with the hospital and peter feeling guilt.

The "starter" costume will be the only costume. There's no room for progression.

I like the costume. It reminds me of something out of Metal Gear Solid. I love the giant sword and arm blades. He seems much more dangerous than he would is he were wearing the Green Ranger....uhhh...Goblin suit. I'm hoping that the explosion messes his face up and he, don't ask me why, tries to use the serum to help fix it (or something like that) and he it gets so screwed up that he looks like a goblin. No need for a mask then.

the tear trailer they didnt show alot of harry in costume, in the new trailer they showed what things the suit features like the blades on the arms which is very cool if i might add, by the way, the way harry hits peter with the glider looks amazing, we do have a few months to go so maybe we might get a goblin mask or something but, i realy really like harrys costume he looks so badass in it.
