MY THEORY. The GG2 costume in the trailer is a fake-out move!

so they spend million of doallars filming scenes, and creating a "fake" goblin suit to mislead fans and regualr people? I dunno Mulder, it all just sounds so..... unbelievable.

It's not a fake suit, it's basically Harry in street clothes with a make shift mask. How hard or expensive could that be?

Honestly, it boils down to this, which should disprove your point entirely.

The Spider-Man scenes you were referring to had a FULL CG model of Spider-Man, which was EASILY changed around before the movie's release time.

The Scenes we saw of Harry were, again, Green Lit, meaning LIVE ACTORS, infront of a Green Screen.

They would NOT go through the process of putting a CG suit on a Live actor, throughout the entire movie.

Sorry man. Stop reaching.

As much as I wish it were true, I very much doubt it. They wouldn't make a fake-out suit, as reported here months ago and now proven correct, if they were just gonna CGI it out later for the teaser.

I have a pretty sound theory into why the GG2 costume in SM3 teaser trailer looks the way it does...and may not be what we get in the movie.

Remember the original Spiderman full trailer? (I wish i had screen shots of it but just bare with me). Remember the scene where Spidey is swinging in to catch uncle bens killer? In the trailer, Spiderman (Peter) is in his full and final costume but in the movie itself, Spidey is chasing uncle bens killer wearing this:

...his make shift wrestling costume.

My point? Well, my point is for some reason Sony didn't want the wrestling costume revealled to the public until the final movie was released, so they replaced the digital CGI stuntman in the uncle ben's killer chase scene, with the full Spidey costume. Maybe they did this because they didn't want non- fans to think this was actually Spideys costume from only seeing the trailer, but my point is that they may be pulling the same move with Harry's GG2 costume. They don't want it revealled at this point, so they replaced CGI Harry on the glider, with what we saw in the trailer....just like they did as i mentioned above in SM1....

well I have to say this in the trailer they had spider-man like that because sam decided later on in production that he wanted spider-man to be in his wrestling costume. I would rather see harry in the suit he is in the trailer to begin with. By the way someone said that he will be wearing a diff. costume at the end of the movie any how

Perhaps it is not fake, but harry is just taking the glider out for an early spin in the movie as well as testing some equipment out when he will later dawn his full costume toward the middle or end of the film

As much as I hate the costume as everyone else...this thread and a lot of hopes and speculation is getting ridiculous. Here are the reasons why we will get the costume we saw in the teaser...

1. Harry is not the main bad guy
2. Harry is in all of 2 battles(according to many reviews)
3. Harry is not the main character...he will not set down and sketch out costumes like Spider-Man did in SM1. Harry will not have a nifty montage as he draws possible costumes.
4. GG2 must be distinguishable from GG1 for the general audience.
5. There are rumored to be 4 baddies in the film, not every character will have as much development as the other...Sandman the most with recent spoiler pics.
6. GG1 did not have a suit development time, nor should GG2.
7. The original GG1 costume was destroyed or hidden by Spider-Man.
8. The GG2 googles look exactly like the flight suit goggles in SM1...Norman took the body suit...left the goggles.
9. Multiple sources from insiders posting here have said this is what we get.

The only thing I cannot understand is the completely different glider we get in SM3. In SM2...Harry found a mostly built glider in his father's secret room. So why does it look so different??? Harry is not a mechanical genius...who builds it???

I hope you're right because I gotta say,that "goblin" costume I saw in the trailer looks bad. It doesn't look impressive at all. Harry is a millionaire because of Oscorp and all he could create for a costume was some kind of face mask?

You are wrong there. Well, partially wrong.

In SM2, when Harry discovers his father's secret lair, we see the GG1 mask, AND I can't really remember what side of the room it is, but the entire GG1 body suit is there as well. SO......

...here's the choices.
1.Either Harry doesn't want to use the GG1 costume or HE destroys it.
2.Harry will use both suits. (the one we see in the teaser and GG1 suit in final battle)

Uh....he is flying after Spider-Man and tries to punch him. Spider-Man dodges and he punches the wall. He didn't clumsily run into the wall. It looks like he was trying to kamikazee him. I am sure it is also hard to stop or turn that glider going that fast anyways. This is also not his "starter" costume....it is the one we will get.

I think some people shouldnt already start complaining about the costume for Harry. In the trailer the only thing thats really clear is his face and goggle...thing.

His chest part looks like a jacket or something in the scene where he flys diagonaly looking the other way. (cus something is sticking up from his sides it seems to me) and then in the scene where he flies straight toward the camera, punching, his chest armor is blank. I think once some clear posters or something come out you will like it better....but we will see

This could happen, but I somehow doubt it. I'm in the middle, it could happen and it could not happen.
