Names people don't give their kids anymore

"Shu-theed"

You guess how it's spelled.

Oh...wait...some parents DO still name their kids that. Idiots.

My psych teacher explained to us how she wants to bring old names back. She wants to name her daughter Gertrude. Wwwhy?

When I think of that I think of an old woman in a wheelchair sipping prune juice.

I think old names like Gertrude could work. They're unique because nobody gives kids those names anymore, but they're familiar/anglicized enough for nobody to think they're weird. Plus you can get a few decent nicknames out of those old names. Gertrude alone can give you Gert, Gertie, or Trudy.

Gertrude is a **** name whether it's old school or new school.

Now Remi? That's a cool name. That's what I'm gonna name my daughter
