Namor the Sub-Mariner

Tlālōcān
I think, that’s Wakanda in the background. Don’t think we‘ll see Wankandans invading Atlantis/Tlālōcān.
But I do think/hope, we‘ll see scenes in Atlantis.

Namors design looks great. I allwsys thought, that the classic look would look too goofy and they‘ll go for a more modern take. But Marvel once again found a great way, to make a 60 years look, to not look misplaced.
Which makes me think, they‘ll do that with Adam Warlocks classic costume as well

It’s great seeing Namorita. Honestly never thought we would get around to seeing her. I bet they’ve got a really good scene lined up with her and Shuri

I think its cool we are finally seeing Namor in live action. He is probably the last major Marvel superhero, not to get a live action adaptation.

I’m very happy with the look for Namor. Another hero (like Thor and Cap) that they could easily have got very wrong.

Love his costume, but something about his hair and beard looks too contemporary for me.

I'm surprised how good a job they've done as it would have been very easy to get this wrong, and far from that they've made him look great. Really looking forward to see how the introduction of Namor and the Atlanteans affects the MCU.

I would've preferred Ian Anthony Dale as Namor. Not only does he look more like the classic comic version but also he looks more arrogant and haughty and could play both the anti-hero and hero role.

Can't see whether this version of Namor has ankle wings or not.

Namor looks awesome! I really hope they showcase his superhuman strength more than his aquatic powers. I love that Namor in the comics prefers to brawl.

I do love the Meso American influences to the culture. Was not expecting that!

Yeah, as I said in another thread the Aztec inspiration was unexpected but logical, considering Marvel would want to do as much as possible to differentiate the character from Aquaman.

I think Namor looks great and love the design so far! It will be interesting to see what Disney does with the character thematically. From the official description - the ruler of an underwater kingdom who will do anything to protect his people - it definitely seems like they're on the right track...

See I don't understand your comment. Aquaman's community is more medieval, dare I say Greek myth looking. Namor's has never been drawn that way from what I can see.

The only visuals he shares with a DC character is his hairline (Black Adam, Sinestro).

Ok this is an awesome level of drip.

by the way, do you think they’ll mention if namor was active during world war 2? Maybe they can chuck in a deep fake Captain America cameo or something
