Well, from what I've seen, Christmas is kinda the default winter holiday, and Easter is actually more Pagan in origin then Christian.
Easter is essentially the celebration of Christ's resurrection. The only thing Paganistic about it is Lent, which is only acknowledged by Catholics.
Again, this is solely aimed towards religious people. Don't participate if you don't want to. I probably won't even acknowledge it, simply because I don't see why there needs to be a specific day for us Christians to repent when we essentially should be doing it every day.
Christmas is a traditionally Christian holiday. The reason why the term "The Christmas Season" is used is because it's the most widely celebrated holiday at that time.
