NBC's ''Timeless''

Didn't they think she died on a previous mission? It seems most of Mason Industries did. Was that all a ruse by Rittenhouse? Was she there, not because she was hiding from Rittenhouse, but to change things in the past? But what was there so much to change at the time of Jessie James?

Or maybe she was just hiding there, not from Rittenhouse, but from others at Mason Industries, and awaiting further orders from Rittenhouse once they put their plan into motion. I can't remember if Flynn knew she was still alive or not and specifically sought her out, or whether he discovered her by accident in the past.

They better have a 2nd season, otherwise all this talk and speculation is for nothing if the story goes no further. There's so much that can still be done with this series.

if i recall, Flynn went looking for her specifically, that's why he hired Jesse

Any word on the fate of this show?

Any word on the fate of this show?

I am not going on anything other then my opinion, but my guess is it gets cancelled. It had average ratings at best in a timeslot I think they expect more out of.

My hope is, with Grimm out of commission, they put it on Friday. This can be their one genre show now, with everything else being Chicago ____, SVU season 39, The Voice, or comedy.

Many shows have already gotten renewals. But for those with middling ratings - "on the bubble," as they say - network verdicts are usually announced (apparently) in May.

The writers had many plans for season 2 and were going to present it to the studio. I hope they will be given another chance. This series has a lot of potential, and it would be a shame to see it end here. I'm ready to see another season. I've been missing the show already. It seemed to end all too soon.

Networks don't make cancelation announcements during the season anymore. They either pull the show, let it air its 10-13 episodes or give it a full season order or order a few more episodes. Then in May they just quietly dump all the shows that haven't been renewed.

It upsets the small fan base but the networks try to distract people with trailers of their new shows and fall schedule lineup.

NBC’s ‘Timeless’ Tops USA TODAY’s 20th Annual Save Our Shows Campaign

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...0th-annual-save-our-shows-campaign/101327628/

USA TODAY viewers have spoken, and they want to save NBC's Timeless.

The freshman series was the favorite in USA TODAY's Save Our Shows poll, with 49% of voters saying they'd like the historically minded time-travel drama to stick around for a second season. CBS's Elementary, wrapping its fifth season this month, was a very close second with 48% (a difference of 1,350 votes), with NBC's Blindspot and ABC's Last Man Standing tied for third place with far less support.

More than 146,600 votes were cast in the campaign, now in its 20th year. The poll asked USA TODAY readers to pick which of 24 scripted series on the major broadcast networks hovering “on the bubble” between renewal and cancellation deserve another season – and which belong in TV's scrap heap.

Viewers were far less excited about renewal prospects for Fox's remake of The Exorcist: Just 6% wanted it back, the lowest level of support for any of the 24 shows.

“Our readers are passionate about TV, and that’s reflected in the record breaking turnout for this year’s Save Our Shows vote,” said Alison Maxwell, managing editor of USA TODAY’s Life section. “Even more impressive is that the stars of some of the bubble shows joined in on the voting fun.”

The voting took place April 5 - 26 at saveourshows.usatoday.com.

The full list of results includes:

NBC’s Timeless – 49%
CBS’s Elementary – 48%
NBC’s Blindspot – 36%
ABC’s Last Man Standing – 36%
NBC’s Chicago Justice – 30%
CBS’s Code Black – 28%
ABC’s Quantico – 27%
CBS’s Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders – 26%
FOX’s 24: Legacy – 23%
NBC’s Taken – 22%
ABC’s Fresh Off The Boat – 21%
FOX’s Prison Break – 20%
ABC’s The Catch – 20%
CBS’s 2 Broke Girls– 19%
ABC’s American Crime – 18%
FOX’s Pitch – 16%
CBS’s The Great Indoors – 16%
CW’s – iZombie – 15%
NBC’s Trial & Error – 14%
FOX’s Last Man On Earth – 13%
CW’s The Originals – 12%
FOX’s Making History – 9%
ABC’s Imaginary Mary – 8%
FOX’s The Exorcist – 6%

2 Broke Girls getting that many votes is just pathetic.

I think anything above 25% has a chance at survival, but anything below that doesn't stand a chance... and most of them rightly so...

pitch got 16% but i heard that was already cancelled

Dear NBC,

I f***ing hate you.

PS: lol j/k, I just remembered The Good Place is still on, please don't touch that, okay? :csad:

This sucks, but was obvious since the fall when it didn't get the full back nine.

:(

That sucks. There was so much potential. Can't it be shopped around to another network?

But Blindspot got renewed?

Sony tends to fight for their shows, they can shop it around to other channels.

Nashville was rescued by CMT last spring but had been around for four seasons.

Depends what other channels have in terms new programming launching this summer/fall. A&E could use another drama since Bates Motel is over.

This was an article just before it was cancelled, from last week:

NBC Should Embrace The Fan Support For 'Timeless' And Not Repeat The Mistake Of 'Firefly'

https://moviepilot.com/p/why-nbc-should-embrace-fan-support-for-timeless-TV/4262313

Obviously NBC didn't care about that though. And I guess the fact that it was the top show that viewers wanted renewed didn't matter either.

Timeless is a Sony show?
