Comics "NECROSHA" - The Legacy/New Mutants/X-Force Crossover

Is this Mike Something going to cut down the number of DC heroes?

I don't think so.

Mutants always get the toughest cookie.:(

DC isn't cutting back on their superheroes. They're just putting their modern heroes off to the side in favor of the ones who were popular during the 60's and 70's. That is, except for Batman and Superman. They've been temporarily replaced by their adopted son and adopted cousin respectively.

Batman and Superman really are something, I don't think their mini versions can ever replace them. (Though I heard there's a NIghtwing who's cool too.)

But still I refuse to go into DC fandom.
The cost of money for these X-comics is horrendous enough already!

Superman's not active anymore? I knew abouit Bruce Wayne and Batman but whats the deal with Superman?

He went to New Krypton to be with other Kryptonians. He's still on Earth a good amount though

whats the deal of some adopted cousin taking his place? Is there a new Superman around?

Nope, it's a guy called Mon-El. He's a Daxamite, which is an alien race that has the same powers as Kryptonians under a yellow sun but with a vulnerability to lead instead of kryptonite. If I remember correctly, he was stuck in the Phantom Zone and Superman freed him, then asked him to take his place in Metropolis for a little while. His secret identity is as Clark's cousin Jonathan. At the moment I believe he's dying from lead poisoning and only has a year of his life left.

Poor Mon-El :(

Although, a year of comic time is like 50 years real time lol

mon-el sounds cool

does he look like superman?

He looks like Inverted Superman when he's in costume.

So basically DC has only two heroes, Superman and Batman, with various add-ons and coloring.

But there's no Lantern-boy/girl in DC, right? Or Red Lantern, Blue Lantern...etc.

There are currently a "team" of Lanterns for every color in the rainbow. Even Black now.

...I can't believe that DC is even more lazier than Marvel.

They don't even want to come up with new names?

All of the Lantern colors are currently at war. It's DC's current big event.

Don't knock it 'till you've tried it. The spectrum of Lanterns has been an awesome storyline.

Oh and Manic, amen to your signature.

Don't knock it, as the current Lantern War and invasion of the Black Lanterns is a fantastic story.

Depends on how you view it.
From the story's pov, it might be good, from long-term character building's pov, it's not really promising.

I'm only surprised that there's not an Aquagirl pops up.

DC universe always looks more fictional imo, there are still some good stories, just not my cup of tea.

probably since the male equivalent (Aquaman is lame)

I think he's okay( I like the talking to animals bit), but only bringing him up cause I don't know that many names of DC characters, there are too many -boys&-girls.

yeah many of the main heroes have a opposite gender or younger counterpart with similar names. Superman has a Superboy, Supergirl and Superwoman. Batman has a Batgirl and Batwoman; Green Lantern's have the same name as him; Wonderwoman has a Wondergirl; Hawkman has a Hawkwoman and Hawkgirl etc.... Marvel has this as well but I guess to a smaller degree
