Comics "NECROSHA" - The Legacy/New Mutants/X-Force Crossover

This Wither boy has a power sounds suspiciously like Rogue's.

Think of Wither as the opposite of Elixir. They were on rival squads back when New Mutants began and they had opposite powers. Elixir healed while Wither decayed. Elixir however could control his powers and has since gained the ability to cause harm with his touch as well. They were even interested in the same girl, Wallflower. Speaking of which, are they going to resurrect her. I never cared for her and was glad she died, but if they are going to bring everyone else back, they need to bring her. Would definetly give Josh some good material to work with and I cant imagine that Wither wouldnt want to have Eli Bard bring her back.

Another triangle? Between kids?

I hope whoever the girls is that she stays dead.

Actually, Elixir wasn't really into Wallflower. Elixir was too busy sneaking around with his teacher Wolfsbane to notice Wallflower at first. Then when Wolfsbane started rejecting Elixir, he turned his attention to the girl who was rubbing up against his leg the entire time. About five minutes after he started dating Wallflower however, she found out about Wolfsbane (who Elixir never stopped having feelings for), and their relationship became complicated. When you get down to it, I'd say Elixir had very little interest in Wallflower, but saw her as a close friend.

Meanwhile, Wither was totally into Wallflower, but she was too busy pining over Elixir to notice.

Meanwhile, Mercury was all on Wither's jock, but he didn't notice because he kept trying to get Wallflower's attention. It sucked that he didn't notice, because his powers didn't work on Mercury's liquid metal skin.

Nobody was into Mercury, though. It's been hinted that Nezhno might have a thing for her (she seems to be one of the few people whose touch he can feel), but nothing ever became of that.

true but her resurrection would definetly impact him in a big way. I mean she died in his arms. His power failed to save her and it was her death is what catalyzed his powers becoming offensive. Its what got him to kill for the first time. I definetly would love to see how he'd react to seeing her in Necrosha considering how he did hurt her while she was alive.

maybe he can use his mutant powers to erase the mind control Selene has over them...i wonder if he can re-create the 'x-gene'?

also...are the newly resurrected mutants still tied to the no-more-mutants clause? because technically they rnt supposed to b mutants anymore...so can they now get bizzy and have zombie-mutie kids?

Well, the last interview with K/Y said that these aren't zombies, theyre just straight up back alive because of the Techno-Organic virus, so if they get cured of the virus at the end of this, we could have millions of mutants again!!

Which would be sweet, stupid M-Day....

It's much better when allegories on race/discrimination actually, you know, make sense....

"Mutants are an oppressed minority, but 12 million worldwide or so is far far too many!"

There are, in fact, more Asian-Americans living in the States than there were mutants worldwide after the Genosha attack. A few million is still a minority group, Marvel.

Instead of reducing the mutant population to what could fit inside of a tour bus, what they should've done is simply stop new mutant manifestations. No more x-genes activating at puberty. Now the mutant population is still at a respectable size, and they won't overtake the human population anytime soon because the only way they could possibly increase their numbers is the old fashioned way. In bed.

Wanda's spell didnt affect everyone. We only know of the living people that lost their X gene. Theres no established incident to show that it extended to dead corpses and even if it did, Id assume that not all would have had their X gene erased

Theoretically, the DNA of the long dead corpses should have decayed to the point of losing all its use...

Wasn't one of the things Beast found during his studies in Endangered Species was that even the dead had their X-genes removed? I could have sworn that was one of the reasons he went to Neverland, to try and find that.

I think the High Evolutionary's decision to help Magneto shows that they're just ignoring Endangered Species now.

Dont know as I could barely read Endangered Species but even if that was the case, it doesnt mean every dead mutant had their X gene removed

Not really. DNA remains after death. One can collect DNA from an organism thats been dead for millions of years

Yeah, but the chance is always really slim. That's why we haven't seen T-Rex running around again.

thats bc they are extinct. Doesnt mean their DNA is lost. All one needs is a small microscopic sample and an infinite amount of DNA copies can be generated. Theres really no limit as long as they have some type of body, dead or alive, no matter how long its been gone

It sounds like opening a window to disasters, I'm against this sort of things in reality, but since it's only comic...but it's still trouble imo.

Am I the only one that's hoping that Sych and Skin are both brought back to life? :(

Old school Gen X fan here.

Nope. I want them back as well but unless they are going to be brought back to haunt Emma, I doubt any writer will actually remember them. M is in X-factor and thats not going to be in this crossover so they wont be brought back for her. Husk is MIA. Emma is the only Gen Xer left and it seems they are going back to the Hellions and go figure Blink to get at her

It would be awesome though: Use Banshee (her old bed buddy), Skin, and Synch against Emma.

It saddens me that they probably are not important enough to the X staff to bring back. :(

Banshee and Emma were never bed buddies. He's like the only closest male that she worked with that she hasnt screwed

If they are a bit able to affect/haunt Emma, that's because she really cared for what happened to them, what's the point of keep picking at her?

Necrosha is a definite way to increase the mutant population since M-day. There are countless characters they could revive and stick around permanently if they make it through Necrosha.

It's the perfect oppurtunity for old villains to have a second chance at settling old scores and heroes like Sway and Petra to get a second chance at being X-men. There could be a whole handful of characters that can come back and continue with plots that never saw its fruition.

I say keep at least half of all mutant characters that come back during Necrosha..and they don't all have to be on Utopia. In fact, I'd bet there some characters that would want nothing to do with Utopia...especially mutants who died on Genosha......

Bringing back old characters doesn't fix the problem since M Day - no more new mutants born, with the only exception so far, Hope, who is supposed to be the key to unlock the whole mess Wanda created with her spell.

Utopia, while might have less chance of affecting other neighboring area when being attacked, I'd think probably only the ones who have not much interests to mingle with humans and the ones who have rather abnormal mutations would have more interests in taking up residence, others probably would use Utopia as a community center for mutants or shelter when facing threats.

I didn't mean to imply Necrosha as an answer to M-Day...more or less I meant we'll have more characters to work with again. We'll have a bigger pool of villains and heroes pull from....
