need to vent?

Glad your Granddad's gonna be alright, X-Chick.

On a rant note, there are very few things that annoy me in life to be perfectly honest. I usually do what I can to avoid other people's stupidity and inconsiderate BS, but sometimes it just can't be helped like really bad drivers and such. There are two people in my office that continually irritate the hell out of me and I just need to vent about them. The first sits in the cube directly next to mine and has his computer and phone set up so that he faces my direction when he's in the office. This motherf**ker talks so freaking loud on the phone that I cannot hear myself on my own phone, even when I crank up my phone all the way. I mean, this guy is LOUD!!!! The guy on the other side of him complains about how loud he is as well. We've asked him several times if he could maybe try to talk a little bit quieter since I can't hear on my conference calls. He's always like "Sorry, dude, that's just how I talk". Thanks for your consideration, jackass. The other guy sits across the aisle and down a bit from me. He has the MOST irritating cell phone ring I think I have ever heard in my life, and he's got the volume on it jacked up to 300 decibels. He gets calls CONSTANTLY on it (not work related calls, either). Most of the time he's not even at his desk but leaves his cell there, so we have to listen to his phone ring over and over and over for 45 seconds until his voicemail picks up. And when he is there, he answers it and talks about absolutely nothing with the people on the other end. Do some f**king work for a change instead of chatting on the phone about what kind of goddamned car polish you use, jackass! :cmad:

Okay, I feel better. Thanks for listening.

She probably either wanted you to fess up your feelings because she was too afraid to or she didn't realize she had feelings for you until you moved on and now she doesn't know how to act around you.

Thanks. :yay:

Glad to hear your grandfather is doing better.

On the side note, I went in today to get my new schedule and I just completely blew her off.

If she wants to talk to me she knows my name and knows how to communicate.

I'm not gonna rant, but please be nice next time you go into a sporting goods store to try on shoes/get a new product/etc.

We can't magically have it appear. We can't have EVERY damn shoe size in EVERY damn style we have. And b***hing to us about it just makes it harder for us to want to get it to you in a timely fashion. I'm sick and tired of people doing this crap.

One day while I was working, my buddy who runs shoes couldn't find a size in a certain shoe for this gentleman. Under his breath, the guy called my buddy a "c**ks**ker". I mean, it isn't called for.

Be nice to us, and we'll be happy to help you out. AND, if you come back, we'll help you in a heartbeat.

Its not that easy to tell someone who's ignoring you that you're into them. Trust me, I know from experience. :o

And thank you.

Well that's retail for ya :csad: Customers are so damn mean. I remember when I first started a retail job, this old black woman was so mean to me that she made me cry a little (not in front of her at least).

Here's my vent for the week.
Today was payday. Today was also the day I woke up with my tooth/jaw aching like crazy. My dentist happens to be next door to where I work so I get worked in and it turns out I needed a root canal. Again they were able to work me in, and when it came time to pay for the work....it was just under what my pay check was...two weeks pay gone like that. Oh well, it's done and I'm not in pain anymore, but still two weeks pay gone. >_<

When I catch people treating employees in service jobs like crap like that I read them the riot act since the employee is just having to put up with it, usually, in order to just keep their job. There's no call for that, even if the employee is really useless or even rude themselves. :down

Our store is pretty damn good. One of the best in the company. Over 140 stores, too. I don't see the point of b****ing at us when we're one of the best

so...something is wrong with me. i've been picking fights with everyone and drinking more than usual...way more than usual considering i usually drink like once every 6 months and i've gotten wasted 3 nights this week. :csad:

I don't drink much either, but I have wanted to get wasted this week. I think I may have a "venting" coming on in the next day or so.

I don't understand people. Why they have to take crap out on people in retail is beyond me. I mean if you were being incompotent it is one thing, but good greif something you just can't help. Nothing used to piss me off more than years ago when I worked at a Blockbuster. People used to come to me all the time complaining about prices and amounts of fine etc. I literally had a lady throw he membership card at me b/c she thought the prices of the fines were too high. As if 17 year old me had the power to set prices. People are just selfish, short-sighted, and stupid.

I got the Ultimate Avengers Rise of the Black Panther DVD for myself for easter...

I haven't watched the movie yet, but I've watched the extras...

Giant Man is a WIFE BEATER
The Wasp lets herself be his victim :csad:
The Hulk accidentally kills people during his rampages :cmad:

I prefer my heroes to be extra-ordinary. Giant Man is a villain, not a hero if he is a wife beater. The Wasp can't really be a very good hero if she lets herself gets beaten up without defending herself (and what kind of role model is that). The Hulk that I grew up with was always trying to avoid people (and avoid hurting them)

Ah, that's right, you don't keep up with current titles......

Yeah, Hank Pym has been a wife beater for quite a while now :csad: There's a couple issues of The Ultimates where the Wasp really gets ****ed up by him.

You sound stressed, is there anyway for you to get away this weekend or even to a spa to relax?

wtf kind of message is that sending kids? that's so dumb. :csad:

Nope, gotta work. My manager is on vacation and another co-worker is having surgery, so I have to pull the extra weight.

I always figured the Ultimates were for a more adult crowd.

Hanky Pym a wife beater.
The Hulk a cannibal.

Etc.

You also work in retail. That's enough to stress anyone out.

I could NEVER go back to retail.

Yeah, I really hate it, but its good money. More than I'd make anywhere else. But the job is both boring and stressful. Its very likely that I'm going to quit soon.

I'm betting it's crunch time with your wedding planning and everything else you have going on, particularly since you're leaving the country to get married as that presents a rather amplified level of stress on top of the usual wedding jitters since there's so much more that has to be done before you leave. My wife went through some pretty heavy stress when we were prepping to leave for Mexico for our own wedding, so I can understand. Maybe you should just take a day for yourself and go get a pedicure or your hair done or a massage or whatever it is you like to do to really pamper yourself and dump stress. When my wife hit the peak of her stress before we left for our wedding, I grabbed her hand, dragged her to the car, drove her over to the pedicure place where the Asian ladies always tell her "we like your toes!" in their broken English and told her to not call me for a pick up until she was relaxed. She was mad at me for doing it at first and didn't want to stay there, but I made her and three hours later she called me from her cell thanking me. Maybe you need to kidnap yourself and make yourself relax?

Its really not the wedding stuff. I got rid of all that when we decided to elope. Now all I have to do is show up at the resort and tell them what flowers I want. But I think its a combination of my grandfather's and co-worker's surgeries, getting nervous/excited about the wedding, probably failing some classes, hating my job, getting jerked around by someone repeatedly, getting really annoyed with someone else...etc. :csad:

It's surprising how much that one thing can amplify all the other stresses we have in our lives. It's a major life-change and even good stress over things happening in our lives that we really want can bring on subconscious anxieties or make us feel overwhelmed. And it can sometimes remain a factor for awhile after you get married. A lot of married couples say that it took them a year or two to really settle into married life comfortably and not have it be awkward or stressful, even. It took my wife and I a year or so and we had it easier than most married couples I know. And looking back, we both realized just how stressed we were prior to our wedding without even realizing it. At any rate, couple in the stress of your grandfather and coworker getting surgery and worrying about them and the stress of having to make sure you've got everything in order before you leave for your wedding (bills paid, passports, clothes packed, travel itinerary's done, someone to feed the goldfish, etc.) and your stress can climb without you really knowing it. Suddenly everything becomes more irritating including your job and some of the people you know.

At any rate, regardless of the cause, I still think you should kidnap yourself and go make yourself do something relaxing like I suggested. It sounds like you need it. :)
