Fantasy Netflix's Live-Action Avatar: The Last Airbender General Discussion Thread

Glad to see they're still pouring money into this project even after the original creators and composer dropped out of it. It'll be funny when pretty much every single review just tells people to watch the cartoon instead.

So, they're just fundamentally changing a lot of Sokka and Katara's early characterization/relationship for the sake of casting a sexy girl for them to show off. Nice.

But hey, at least we get to know that Katara is a creep. By the time she's a legal adult, Aang won't even be the age of consent. What a trade off :o

Oh god no, someone please pull the plug on this miserable excuse of a project and put this thing out of its misery. This property doesn’t need to be ruined twice in live-action.

They cancelled One Day at a Time, Sabrina and GLOW, but hey they are still making this.

It is amazing how the adaptation has already done more damage to the overall story, the arc of Aang, the arc of Katara, the arc of Sokka and the arc of Zuko before it is released then the movie ever did. It's a truly amazing feat.

Sexy Katara >>>>>> good writing. You should know this Darth. How are you going to attract an audience if one of the main women can't be allowed to be hot?

God, I can't wait until they announce the aged up Azula, Mai, and Tye Lee. Bring new kinds of definitions to Fire Nation.

I hate you for this. Mostly because I didn't think of it first, but still. :o

Darth, Darth, Darth, Darth. Oh, Darth. It's Netflix, it'll get cancelled long before that.
Nah, this is a work made clearly from spite It will never end. Like The Ranch, which somehow made it to 80 episodes.

As if people weren't already weird about the beach episode.

Guess we'll get some other Nickelodeon cameos in that one. I doubt they'll resist the urge to showcase Bikini Bottom and Sandy Cheeks. Gotta have your SpongeBob references.

I'll see myself out...
