If we are going that route, than Eva Green please.
So... let's hope Eva Green or Kate Beckinsale are in the running for Yen. If they are going high profile then Yennefer's actress definitely has to be.
Gemma Chan doesn't have it all.
It's all great, but she isn't Caucasian. She's intelligent, beautiful, a good actress and British. She's probably a great baker and adopts puppies as well.
Cavill's performance in Fallout was total crap. He can do better than that. And I seriously hope he will. I'm glad that witchers don't need much range.
Eva Green - no thanks. She can't pull off a temper. And Yen actress NEEDS that. But Kate Beckinsale is pretty spot-on looks wise.
He wasn't given much, I agree, but you can't be a plank of wood like that. The face that expresses nothing. He was much better in Snyder films and in that spy flick, forgot it's name.I thought he did fine with what he was given.
I played Witcher games with English voice acting and I felt various British accents fit the world really well. No need to push for America accent for sure.
Geralt is a grumpy type, Cavill didn't play grumpy characters as far as I know. So it's gonna be a new thing for him. I hope he manages.
Yeah, I'm not saying the games didn't have American accents. Just that British accents feel at home in the world of Witcher. In this sense no need to force anyone into an accent. It felt that low-born people had British accents more frequently in the games. Of course, people who played the games are used to Geralt's American accent, but if they hired Cavill, he won't have that gruff. So might as well get used to something different.A lot of characters would have American accents in the games. Like most of the Witchers all sounded American such as Lambert, Eskel, Vesemir, Geralt, and even Letho. Triss Merigold has a flat American sounding accent. The other Lodge sorceresses sounded British.
Toussaint, everyone had a more Western European type of accent. For Skellige, it sounded like they went with a more Irish/Scottish brogue.
But my general problem with Cavill is that his American accents rarely sound convincing. So I would just say drop it here.
