Curious... for those who have read the books, how are they? How do they stack up against other fantasy series (LOTR, ASOIAF/GOT, Forgotten Realms, etc.)?

hmm.. good question. i found it to be a lot more intriguing and engaging than lotr.
its as complicated as asoiaf when it comes to political stuff, but it's not the focus. and it has a LOT more magic in it, the way it's handled reminds me of wheel of time.
i prefer wheel of time/asoiaf over witcher, but i definitely like witcher more than lotr.

Yep, they always do that unless it's a talk show-type thing like the Chelsea Handler show.

Yeah. I always felt that he would have been a much better Superman if he was working with a competent director. He was mostly good in MOS (my issues with his character in that movie have nothing to do with him as an actor) but in everything after that, it was like they didn't even try to bring out his charisma. Hopefully he's fared better here.

Now thats a little more like it. Costume and wig look 100x times better already. At least it looks like The Witcher in my mind would do, thats a big step in the right direction. Fingers crossed for the writing and acting.

thats cuz the 100 isnt exactly a netflix show. its marketed as a netflix original outside the US, but its made by CW. it's a strange policy, but netflix does that with amc shows (better call saul), dcu shows (titans) etc, cbs shows (star trek discovery)...

The 100 was the first show that came to my mind but yeah, I believe you are right. The NETFLIX productions are released all at once, I don't usually pay too much attention to that, I just know that some shows are released weekly and others not.

But tyhe important thing here is that the images are spotless and it looks interesting!

You know what kind of weirds me out about the images? Ciri looks borderline the same age or even older in these photos as Anya Chalotra. I don't know if it's the lighting, make-up or whatever. Yeah. Just weirds me out.

Other than that, I think they look fairly good.
