im finding more n more reasons to respect holmes as an individual everytime i read bout her. most actresss in hollywood as famous/ getting as much attention as she does put careers over families, but she clearly says having a child's changed her responsibilities n her work will have be damn good to make her go away from her family.

(1)Five years younger than KH, but still looks more mature.

(2)Rising star who is affordable AND proven her acting worth (Devil Wears Prada).

(3)Looks more like KH/Rachel Dawes than Rachel McAdams does.

(4)She's a british actress, which Nolan MAY prefer (if you look at BB).

Of the two rumoured actresses to take over from KH, I think Blunt would be more likely.

Well to me if Emily Blunt is cast as Rachel then it is more confirmation that the role of Rachel Dawes will NOT live on beyond this sequel or for even more than half the film. McAdams wouldn't want to take on a role that will eventually be killed off most likely. Whats the point....she is to talented of an actress to be wasted like that. This Emily Blunt fits into the mold of more of an unknown actress type who wouldn't mind her character being killed off. Thats exactly why I figured this whole time with these McAdams as Rachel rumors, that it wouldn't make any sense. She is far to talented an actress to take over a role that will most likely be killed off anyway. Thats why a role like Dr Harleen Quinzel would be perfect for her....a character that can develop in TDK helping Gordon, Dent and Batman (mostly Gordon and Dent though) analyze the mind of this serial killer called the Joker. Maybe perhaps she gets kidnapped by the Joker and warps her mind toward the end and Batman saves her? Then in the 3rd film she is more like Harley Quinn. McAdams then would have a character to develop and work with.
