DCCollectibles, the exclusive line of toy and collector items from DC Entertainment, announced today an exciting 2014 product line-up just in time for New York Toy Fair. DC Collectibles will offer a wide range of new action figures and collector’s items based on DC Comics’ iconic characters and other properties. And for the first time ever, new 6” scale action figure lines based on designs from both Batman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures will be released later this year.

“DC Collectibles has an amazing 2014 line-up in store for fans and collectors and we’re psyched to be showcasing our new action figures, statues and more at New York Toy Fair,” said Geoff Johns, chief creative officer of DC Entertainment. “The new slate shows off the team’s commitment to bringing innovative ideas and the highest quality toys and collector’s items to fans worldwide, and as a fan myself I’m particularly excited about the new Batman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures lines.”

More will be shown at Toy Fair this weekend.

Actually got a bit excited for these, for about a minute. Then I read that they aren't hitting until November with a retail of $24.99.

I'll stick with my originals.

Oh wow, they're really going to go all out with this one! Great news.

They seem pretty serious about a whole line up. If my wallet allows it, I'm going to try and get every version of both characters. Here's hoping for a Grey Ghost.

They should have started with the Fox-era rendition of Batman, and it looks to me like the cape restricts arm movement quite a bit.

But remember, it's Mattel. What they say and what actually materializes are two completely different things. And at the rate they go, it would take years to actually get a complete set of these.

DC Collectibles is DC Direct, which is a division of DC Comics and owned by Time Warner. They're totally separate from Mattel.

So these aren't going to be retail releases? Comic and Specialty shops only? That would explain the high retail.

I really can't see spending $25 on a figure that small without much detail, I miss the old days of collecting figures.

Just my opinion, but the action figure market has gotten out of control. Before, the more collectable figures were put out by the comic distributers and averaged $15 while the retail ones stayed at the $5-$10 range. Now, Everything seems to hit $20 - $30. It's just ridiculous. Not worth it. Especially for versions of characters that have been done already.

Agh, why did they have to go with the NBA versions of Batman and Mr. Freeze. Or any of them for that matter. The redesigns were just horrible compared to the original Animated Series designs.
If they make a Animated Series style Batman and/or Mr. Freeze I'm all over it, but other than that... not interested.

This is going to kill me.
Where would you order these if you wanted them shipped to Australia?
DC direct only seems to send within the US

Thank you for posting that video! Great look at some of the new stuff! I am going to be in the poor house this year! Just the new Catwoman stuff alone is going to break me!
