New FF Set Reports Thread.

I dunno but isn't 2 movies with Doom enough? I'm not saying they should kill him off but the FF have other villains.

Well we got the silver surfer in this one but it's kind of cool when the villain doesn't die or vanish at the end of one appearance. We only saw a glimpse of Doom in the first film at the end, and it sounds like he'll split screen time with this one. I'd like to see Doom's story end in part 3 with a new villain introduced. It sounds like Puppetmaster will be intro'd in this film to make a bigger splash in part 3 with perhaps one more. We'll see. Doom's story is worthy of this.

I don't think so...Doom is to F4 as Magneto is to X-Men...Doom is suppose to be the single biggest villain in the history of comics...it sounds like F4ROTSS will show this at last...to me, this film should end on a hell of a downer...Doom

and the impending arrival of Galactus is how this film should end which carries over into part 3 for the finale...I know Julian is signed up for only 2 movies but I can't see him not signing up for the 3rd one when it happens to complete the story of Doom....

Annihilus, Skrulls & Super Skrull, Blastaar, Hulk (if they'd loan him out)...
I expect Doom will still be around, maybe the Surfer too if Galactus banishes him, there's the Inhumans, Namor, etc etc ETC

Going for broke with this movie by bringing in Galactus does run the risk you're implying, but it also represents the potential for blowing the FF franchise wide open.

If they pull this one off, I have minimal worries as far as future films.

I know...can you imagine a scene where after taking the power cosmic, Doom starts his bragging and tells Richards and his family that he will bend the nations of the world to his will and until they meet again...on DOOMSDAY which should be the name of the 3rd film, kind of like how the voodoo woman in Pirates 2 said "At World's End" in her dialgoue which is the name of the 3rd Pirates film.

In the episode called "Doomsday" which was the final episode of the series, Doom lures Surfer to Latveria and sucks his power cosmic dry and begins his conquest of the planet. If this movie is anything like that episode and add in the impending threat of Galactus, then it will be the single greatest film ever....

Visually yes but if they write it interestingly enough Puppet Master, Mole Man etc can be great too.

Thats true but what i meant is that he shouldn't be the main focus in the third.Like Lex Luthor in Superman and Magneto in X-Men he should always be lurking in the background or share the screen with another big villain.

He doesn't seem so keen to do more so that remains to be seen. I'd prefer if they not recast the role though.

I honestly don't care if Julian comes back and didn't think he was needed for this film either. I really like the guy as an actor but Doom was so disfigured and especially after he was Torch'd so he wouldn't be recognizeable anyways, and I have no idea why his voice would be reconizeable after his transformation anyways. It's not neccessary for him to be under the suit for Doom to be portrayed.

I'd love it if Fox would lease out the rights (from Marvel) to The Hulk for one film so we can see the FF go after The Hulk though I guess an Avengers film could be done the same way. Though who doesn't want to see The Thing and The Hulk go at it. Only problem is a Man in suit thing and a cgi Hulk wouldn't probably work to well.
