Sorry, but in that clip you cant see any people being thrown back, bad mistake IMO and there are definately people as close as the cars were, yet the cars are blown over and the people arent.

Watch it again. You are wrong. I guess you didn't read the part where I said I was there and actually saw it being filmed. There is really nothing else to say.

Would you like some gratuitious sex thrown in for good measure? What is it with some people wanting more bloodshed?

Cause violence is fun...duh! :whatever:

:O

And when you become a victim to violence someday, we'll see how fun you think it is then.

What? I never said I enjoyed violence in real life.
Im not even a fan of excessive gore, I just want the villains to kill more people

I do not think we will see anymore violence or killing then the 1st one, because they want to keep the PG 13 rating, or PG if they can tone it down that much. But they do not want to go to an R rating. So graphic violence will be practically non existent. I'm surprised they got away with the hole that Doom put in Ned.

But we already know this film will have more action which = more violence. There's no origin story here and from the start we have someone almost killed, people knocked back on the street, a wedding destroyed, helicopters crashing, we've seen what crashes on the Shanghai set, we know Johnny get's almost killed right off the bat, etc...That's not even to mention the Silver Surfer wreaking havoc across the globe creating these giant silver craters, the emergence of DOOM, and of course Galactus.

Hey Shadowcat...nothing wrong with violence on film as long as you're capable of distinguishing that it is just a film. LOL

That's just it, some people can't tell the difference. When 9/11 happened, some teachers decided to let their students watch what was happening live. When people who were trapped on top of the towers started to jump off to their deaths, kids started laughing because they just couldn't seperate the fact that these weren't stunt people, but actual human beings who were committing suicide because they didn't want to burn to death or be crushed to death. So when people start saying 'I want more violence', I seriously wonder where their heads are at.

Please do not equate bloodthirst with cool.

Doesn't change the fact it is

Obviously their heads aren't up their asses.

Shadow this is a bad argument. Would you say a FF film with no violence would be better? This is pointless. The more action the better and with more action comes more violence. We're not talking spousal abuse mkay. So in the case of Hulk, X-Men, FF...the more violence the better. However nobody said just put in violence to kill time. Also this is a movie and if parents can't explain to their kids that when you jump off a roodtop you won't turn into flames and fly...then that sucks for the kids. Sometimes I really want to see an adrenaline filled violent action flick like True Romance, Punisher, or Running Scared...and sometimes I don't.

Action does not equal more violence. The trailer had lots of action and very little violence. I don't see the point of putting more violence in a movie if it does nothing to advance the plot. (Mr. & Mrs. Smith anyone?) I'm not saying there shouldn't be any violence, I'm just sick of the people who think more fights and more blood make a better movie. It doesn't. I'm sorry, I want my movies to have a plot. So sue me.

>^^<

Action in a superhero film involving villains = violence for the most part. Violence doesn't always need to advance the plot, however it can establish/gauge the level of conflict and formidability & danger of the villain or hero. Otherwise we'd just have stupid villians like The Sneezer. Watch out! He'll blow his nose or wipe his snot on you. The evil sneezer beware! Who can defeat him...Tissue Man with his Aloe shooter!

Lastly I don't think anyone here has suggested they want to see 2 hours of non-stop violence. I think most people though want to see more action, more DOOM, lots of the Surfer, and some great battles between the heroes and villains. That means more violence so there's nothing wrong with someone saying they'd like to see more action and more violence in this film compared to the first. Which is how this whole argument started...right? :)

Actually, it started with someone saying he wanted more blood.:down

Suggestion: Why don't one of you carry this conversation into a new thread? I think it's worthy of it. And that way we can get back on topic.

Actually, I was hoping it would just end. But you're the mod, so whatever you want to do is fine by me.

Thanks Maestro!!:)
I think thats when they shot scenes at the airport in vancouver months ago. In the middle shot Alba/Sue looks like she came right out of the 1960s, very stylish.
