New Flash Gordon film views

Now this fits Vaughn like a glove. I am excited for this because it's going to be unabashed fun while embracing its roots but also have that unique Vaughn spin on it.

What I don't understand is why did Fox buy the right to Mark Millar's 'Starlight'? Like many of Millar's other original work, it's heavily derivative of other's people's work, in this case 'Flash Gordon'. Just with a twist: He's an older man going to back to adventure. So clever, Mark! (It's a good comic overall though with beautiful art.)

Flash Gordon is a potential franchise.

Starlight is probably another solid entry with no plan for a sequel cause there's no other books to support it.

I won't front, was gunning for a Brad Bird to take this or Buck Rogers, but Vaughn does good work. Not a massive drooling fanboy for him, but I dig his skills.

Vaughn would be amazing but I really don't see how you can pull it off. You can make it a generic white guy saves the world story sort of story and it will make millions of dollars but it just won't feel the same without the high campness

That's why studios don't trust him anymore on their big budget movies like Gambit... Oh wait!

More seriously, though, I respect you personal opinion but GI Joe predates the "good Tatum" phase while WHD was decent fun for me unlike OHF, which tried to be too serious at times. In GI Joe 2, everyone and the studio recognized Tatum's influence and even increased his scenes, reportedly, in which he was, admittedly, good.

In addition, he did two hugely successful Jump Street movies which, lest you forget, are also "Action" movies.

Quite simply told, he is, at the bare minimum, good enough to make the final shortlist.

PS: I got nothing for Jupiter Ascending. So, you got me there.
