New He-man Movie!!

Quick casting call change...MARCIA CROSS...Emmy Winner from "Desparate Housewives" as The Sorceress.

I'd really rather see Jason Lewis as Captain America. He's the spitting image of King Kirby's Cap.

My Casting Call.....

Keldor/Skeletor-Willem DaFoe (You saw him in Spidey 1...He's got the bone structure...and the build...he'd be perfect)

I'm picturing the part in Spider-Man where he screams "We'll meet again, Spider-Man!" and replacing Spider-Man with He-Man... it sounds awesome.

Exactly...he's got the voice and the maniacal laugh. I am highly against Nic Cage. Because he is already playing a guy with a CGI skeleton for a head...Ghost Rider. I can't believe he named his son Kal El. He is truely a geek. Doesn't he think his kid will be picked on in school?

Hell, I wish my name was Kal-El, screw those kids at school!

So should this movie keep the style of the original MOTU film or should it the designs and look of the film be different? I reckon that now we're in a visual age of fantasy that is highly influence by the LOTR films, should a MOTU ever come into fruition anytime soon, it'll follow suit.

I think it should combine the older series with the newer cartoon. Both had strong visuals and textures and styles. If they can find a way to make that into reality using CGI...that would totally kick ass.

Perhaps they should hire Daniel Cudmore, who played Colossus in X2, to be He-Man. He's 6'8" and has a similar (though not exactly the same) physique to that of previous He-Man Dolph Lundgren. Cudmore would have to dye his hair though, or wear a wig.

Well...all in all throught the casting call...seems like I breathed new life into this topic...WHOOT! Does anyone have any other casting suggestions?

I'd have to disagree on that one. Unless this is what you'd want end up with.

I wonder what T. Burton would do with He-man if he ever got his hands on it. Especially with Skeletor and Beastman and the like.

Very nice. But I mean not cartoon wise but adapt it realistically onto the big screen. Also the environments. The backgrounds in both series were incredible. Just imagine that in CGI form...and Battle Cat. Wow...that would be awesome. And No...no Burton. Although I do enjoy the man...I don't think he'd be the right director for this film.

The thought of a new He-Man film kinda scares me. I'd like a new one, but the thought still scares me.

As long as they do it right...and bring in the characters we all know and love. For now it's just a dead in the water dream for us fans...but yeah...Well we can only rely on fan fiction...and...well...the new Staction Figures. BTW...that pic of He-Man and Skeletor is hiarious. My...God...doesn't get any Gayer than that. lol. And comming from a Gay Man himself...yeah. lol.

Yes yes he would...either him...Paul Walker or...you're gonna kill me for this...Chris Jericho from WWE. lol.

Well...Lindsay Lohan is no longer SKELETOR she's got back the curves and the red hair. Teela's back!!!

i dont think she could to it, teela needs to be played smart and distant i havnt seen lohan pull stuff like that off yet

Well really guys a he-man movie could be really spectacular and epic if done right, the casting well I don't know its kinda tough, but please no wrestlers involved, better take an unknown and make him bulk up and train and he has to know how to act not just look good, the story most have a heart otherwise will end up as just a brainless action film, and I think we don't want that, as for director well I honestly think there are quite a few but I don't know about john woo, he's a great action director, but story wise not so good, I think he-man should be more of an epic film and less of an action film, epic battles with a great story, I would say peter jackson, if not directing at least producing, and wetta at the special effects, the visuals of the cartoons both 80's and the new ones could be used as concepts or start points for the visual style of the film.

and as for he-man I would love to see him with a bit more armor but still showing his muscles, Imagine a great battle sequence with thousands of skeletors minions and beast man as the general of skeletor's army and he-man ridding on battle cat with sword high, and leading the armies of etternia, the royal army from the palace, and maybe some savage people who had been opressed by skeletor, more so imagine skeletor and beastman's make up made by the guys at wetta, and a full cgi battle cat by them also.

That would be very awesome...and I do agree...but which unknown...since actors are sooo thin...would pull the part off nicely. Most are well like me...thin as hell. LOL. They would have to bulk up and train a lot in order to play the part. Back to Lohan...have we really seen her in a powerful role? I personally think she does have the look...all she needs to do is shed the Disney image...b/c she's been in soooo many disney films. She just needs to shed that demeanor. But tis just my choice for the part.

I got to admit a He-man movie would be 1337! id go to see it with a bunch of mates just for laughs
